Which gender do you choose to play in-game and why?

    Curiosity killed the cat! o:)

Female. I grew up playing games where for the most part there was no choice but to play a male. You can't imagine how happy I was when it turned out that Samus was a female! She was this *** character that you'd been playing in a time when girls were mostly resigned to being princesses and not really active characters. As a young girl I found a hero that could kick butt instead of being a passive hostage for some male character to rescue. When female characters were finally introduced into other games like Super Street Fighter they were overpowered but they seemed designed for guys. (I stuck with Ryu even when Chun-Li was introduced).

By the time the original Morrowind came around I could finally create a character that was like me. It was amazing because I grew up in a very male-oriented gaming environment. Before Morrowind came around it was a lot like female gamers didn't exist and if you were a girl who gamed you were considered odd or worse.

I'm female and play both genders. I enjoy making characters with backstories and don't really want to be limited to a single gender.

I feel like when I'm on my main who is female everyone assumes I am male and calls me dude and bro anyway. I did purposefully make her more androgynous though.

I have 8 male toons and 2 female.

Still, the rare times I'm on one of the female toons I have a (female) friend who shames me... "Get back on your guy" :D

I have never shamed her once about her (several) male toons.

    Male
In this game i have only males, but in other games i sometimes make female characters, but pretty rarely.

For example i have a female pandaren in wow, just because i don't like how fat the male pandaren is, it just doesn't make any sense that a monk who is supposed to be nimble weighs 200 kilos. It's about cosmetics if i like the male cosmetic i will always choose male, mainly because i'm male.

I love looking at pretty ladies, but I don't want to be one. In every game I try to make my char look like me as close as possible. I also play only 1 character, always.

Male mostly. Games like WoW where the female models most of the time look better like the draenei and orc than i might consider, but other than that 99% of the time i play a male since im male.

I now have one female toon. She was meant to be a stern, badass warrior. I carefully designed her to be intimidating instead of focusing on sex appeal, gave her muscles, dialed down the chest, got a hella intent serious look on her face, all good until I start trying costumes on her. All the stuff I put on my male toons regularly, like the Golden Saint or the Seducer...this poor woman who looks like she eats horseshoes and spits daggers is suddenly dressed like a stripper wearing a Halloween costume. Sad. Think I will stick with mostly male toons that can look the part of badass warriors without being forced into a Conan loincloth or something.

    Male
All my characters are male... same as me. I am not sure why I do not have any female characters? My excuse used to be is that females in ESO are really really slim and would never be able to hold up the huge sword... then again... my characters are: MagSorc, MagPlar, MagDen, MagDK and one StamDen who is a two hand wielding wood elf, so I guess my excuse goes out the window.

I solemnly swear to make a female character! What class should she be?
