I was in another thread and someone said I should create a character named, "Emily has balls".

Then I started thinking, maybe I should create a man character named, "Emily has balls" for all those guys that whisper me and say things like, "I've never met a man named Emily before".

I think that would be funny :)

Female, they get better and more clothing options, can make most of the races good looking, more sparkly accessories.

It's very hard to make a cute bishi boy in the character creation. I like my boys to look Emo-Goth rocker boys. Most of the male races are as ugly as sin. Though I have had some success with imperial, wood elf, and Nords. Oh and Kajiits.
Raz is hot, you know Queen Aaryne is getting some of that =^,.,^=

I'm sure it has been said already, in some form, but, I don't find men attractive (being one myself), and if I am going to spend countless hours over time staring at a figure dead center (or just off to the side of center) of my screen, I want it to be aesthetically pleasing. Plus, generally, one or two things (or both) happen: developers decide to make guys look oafish, exaggerated, and horrible (Like original WoW human men looked, not sure about now), or, because I am not attracted to men, I don't know how to make them look good, so, I don't play them usually.

Otoh, I know how to make female characters that look awesome, and know how to make non-humans look cool (but I don't count playing a male argonian as actually 'male', it's a lizard to me, well, actually, an Iksar, but W/E lol)

When we create a character and start it in game we could equate that to the birth of the character. In real life, the gender of a person is not necessarily equal to whether they are born male or female. This could be said to be true (to a virtual measure) of our in game characters.

The word 'character' in itself should not be used as an indication of our offline personality! We may choose to play as a male or a female character just as we may choose to play some 'race' that looks more human such as an imperial or a feline or lizard like 'race'. Either way the in game character is, by no measure, who we are out of the game. As much as we may like to put ourselves 'in the shoes of' our in game character, the character is virtual not real and playing the game is just that - playing (we could say play acting).

Back to the question. I could say that I play Mx as I cannot see the gender of any virtual rendering of a character, no matter how realistic or male or female it looks, as anything other than neutral*.

EDIT: *Of course that would be virtually neutral as any in game character is only real in a virtual way!

Which visual form/rendering do you prefer for your neutral characters, then? ;)

I would have thought that obvious from the previous post I made - neither. Each is equally (and virtually) neutral.

When I start a new character it can be male looking or female looking depending on whatever comes to mind during creation of the character. This is still only a choice of how the character looks and has absolutely no bearing on gender.

Edit: tidy up and correction of accidentally posted other edit!

I'm 4/4 myself but my main is a male magblade named Jacob who likes wearing that miniskirt outfit. Personally I think it shows off his back muscles well which is why I wear it. Still, like many people here have likely said, the gender of my characters doesn't matter to me as long as I feel invested in them. That said, one of my low level ladies is about to be deleted to make room for her Warden clone. Cause bear.
