No, no, zhe doesn't want to ever have to do anything with other players. Always solo. I can respect that, but it doesn't mean ZOS has to make every event open to people with such a preference.

This is the most appropriate response in this thread.

I would add that it's in Zos' interest to encourage grouping.

You might like to read this from which this snippet is taken;

Also, the MMO NEVER meant forced grouping. The term was coined to accentuate (sell) the idea that hundreds, thousands could be online, in a world at the same time (which, back then, was a huge development). Granted two of the earlier MMOs did try to do the "must group" thing but they learned that by providing content for solo/duo they got more and retained more customers.

Matt is merely talking business speak. He knows this game is categorized as an MMORPG based on how he designed this game. Pure and simple.

Taking it a step further, Zos designed the end game for 100% grouping and that didn't change until 2.0.

The first end game zone, Craglorn, was 100% group content. The second end game zone, Upper Craglorn, was 100% group content.

Heck, when they were promoting this game pre-launch it was as an MMO. They specifically stated the game was being designed as an MMO with a TES theme.

Holy moly are we really getting complaints about running random dungeons? You can beat most normal dungeons using a trained cat. Any single decent player can carry even 3 complete noobs through most of them. Just play as you normally do except pretend that 3 other people are doing the same thing.

90 % of the events so far were for solo play, there was 1 or 2 PVP events, now it is group PVE event, deal with it, you do not need to participate

I'm pretty much 100% a solo player, but I don't really mind the occasional event like this. You don't really need a guild, connections or even any friends in order to participate, you can just use the group finder tool and *poof* you're in a group.

Granted there may be some S'wits that treat the game like its a 100% serious thing and if you don't do this or that then you're a moron etc but just forget about those elitists and move on. I mean if they want to play the game like its their job then they can go right ahead, just dont tell other people how to play

If you are a dd it is no problem. Apart from the DLCs a dd can solo the dungeon and have to others just follow and keep the fight from resetting if you happen to die

If you are tank or healer you may feel a bit frustrated. I just did 3 hours run to CoA II with my healer when it was pledge last time.

Guess what? MMO doesn't mean forced grouping, it just means other people are in the same world as you. Also, again, most players in ESO solo.
