    The 'solo' part of this community is so toxic. Pretty sure ESO is sold as a mmo, otherwise its be just another skyrim, no servers needed. Install and play with yourself in the corner sort of game.

    You might like to read this from which this snippet is taken;

    "“We don’t even use the term MMO with The Elder Scrolls Online anymore, because really it’s not,” game director Matt Firor says. “MMO was a term coined in 1997 with Ultima Online, EverQuest, and Dark Age of Camelot – we are not that game.” "

    Also, the MMO NEVER meant forced grouping. The term was coined to accentuate (sell) the idea that hundreds, thousands could be online, in a world at the same time (which, back then, was a huge development). Granted two of the earlier MMOs did try to do the "must group" thing but they learned that by providing content for solo/duo they got more and retained more customers.

    Easy way to do this is roll a new character. Get them to level 10 .make a healer or tank. Que for random. This way you will get all easy dungeons . Even better if you have cp to give your baby character.
    Holy crap please don't encourage people to do group dungeons when they're only level 10. They won't have any passives unlocked, and won't have any of their skills maxed or even morphed at that point. They'd just end up being a useless carry for everyone else in the dungeon.

    Eh, if you look at this thread, there's plenty of "toxic" anti-solo commentary. One might even include yours. ;)

    And as someone else pointed out "Massive, Multiplayer, Online" does not automatically mean grouped content. Interacting with other people you run across in open-world content, interacting in chat, and interacting via the economy (buying/selling/crafting/etc) are all aspects of Online, Multiplayer, and Massive. /shrug

    That said... yeah, the OP's complaint is silly. And I say this as a solo MMOer.

    (oh, yeah - let's not forget that the vast majority of MMOs in the last 5-10 years have gone out of their way to have plenty of content that's "solo accessible" and moved away from the EQ1-esque group-or-die model. It's good for business. But again, yeah, that doesn't mean that I, as a solo player, should expect to be able to do everything. That's just a silly complaint. I play solo, and I accept that this means there will be things - dungeons, raiding/trials, battlegrounds, whatever - that I won't be able to do. No big deal.)

    Might come as a surprise but one can make friends without grouping. :)

    Entire guilds do this.

    I'm not in favour of "forced" anything in entertainment (or anything else, actually). I DO think it's good to have all sorts of content so that folks have choices. As a solo player, I fully really that my choice to be a solo player means there will be content I'll likely never see or "stuff" I'll never have and that's okay. It's my choice. I could do the content if I wanted to. I just don't.

    Playing with people is fun, but there's really not many options in eso.Last time they tried during the event... everyone in zone was telling just solo it. That's just sad when it's an mmo. We should have social interactions and events like this. Lastly 30% of people actually don't think group finder works so probably an promotion for it.

    P.S
    I seen some people hire people to run the dungeon so that's always an option. Also If you are in a group with someone below 45 then you won't get dlc dungeon.

    COH2 on normal is fine. Its when it's on vet and you're trying to do hard mode that is becomes an issue....

    Why not?
    I solo all normal dungeons easy (unless they have a mechanic preventing that) and i have carried low level players through some of those without any issues.

    So a level 10 queuing for a normal random shouldn't be a problem at all ...

    Agree 100%, the level of toxicity among the 'solo players' or 'purely solo questers' is truly laughable.

    They hate PvPers because PvPers are good at the game, and they hate veteran level PvEers because they're anti social. The mindset is just ridiculously toxic/off-putting.

    https://www.pcgamesn.com/the-elder-scrolls-online-tamriel-unlimited/the-elder-scrolls-online-MMORPG

    Since then the company has denounced that comment and for genre on the game it says mmorpg.

    @Jade1986 I'm curious, can you please post where 'the company denounced the comment', considering that Matt has said this in several interviews, that ESO is 'not a traditional MMO'.

    Further, for those who have said that OP isn't correct that the majority of players are solo players, I ask you this, WHAT is the majority of content in the game? Oh, solo quests. How much content do they have for 'groups'? Well, considering they change Craglorn from a 'group only' to much of it soloable and completely cancelled plans for a second group only zone, I'd say OP is quite correct about who the majority of players are. Plus, a huge number of players here are Elder Scrolls single player gamers, they're not 'traditional MMO players'.

    Some people love to cling to the outdated original concept of what "MMO" means, and refuse to accept the new meaning which is simply, a 'massive number of people playing the same game at the same time'. But if they'd look at current MMOs, almost all of them have a very large amount of solo content, if not the majority of the game being soloable. Go figure.

    Event is live from Nov. 30 at 10 a.m. EST until Dec. 6 at 10 a.m. EST. Complete a random dungeon via the Dungeon Finder – Normal or Veteran mode – to earn a Mysterious Reward Box. This curious cache could contain loads of awesome in-game rewards: consumables, pets, costumes, and even a massive collection of super rare mounts and houses. You can obtain a Mysterious Reward Box once per day per character.

    You know the majority of your players solo, right?

    @ZOS_GinaBruno

    you realize your precious solo game will have no players soon you ding *** never stay around anyway. you complain about the people who actually play MMO's while playing aMMO. here is your solo game its ever damn zone in the game no go play the other 99% of the game . i really hope development teams learn there lesson from listening to you fol;ks . id rather have a smaller population that stuck with the game 3 or more years then have a larger churn population of cry babies.

    Been here since 2014, sport. 3 years and counting, how about that, huh?And I do play 99% of the game, as 99% of the game is soloable ( and kind of why i'd expect events to be soloable, but go figure ). Also, making the majority of the game soloable is what saved this game back when it was tanking. Oh, yeah. You forgot about that. lol

    certainly not you what saved the game from tanking was the console release. and what caused it to tank was the completel inability for the dev team to produce the content that they promised ina reasonable amount of time.

    Simple solution to OP’s problem: don’t participate in the event.

    There was a PvP event a while ago, I don’t think anyone was surprised that it involved PvPing.

    There are multiple other events that take place that can be done completely solo. Why are you so against having an activity for people who do like grouping?

    You can solo vet dungeons, let alone normal ones. Sure you have to use the dungeon finder tool to get this bonus, but once you're in the dungeon, just run off on your own (the content is that easy).

    At the end of the day though, this is an MMO. Grouping is central to the experience. If you want a truly solo experience, stick to the single player TES games.

    But what does that point have to do with whether an event is in a group dungeon? :tongue:

    ZOS has lots of content types and events for those different types. This is the same as PvP-only players upset at PvE events, PvE players upset at PvP events, and so on. If you don't want to try something different, skip the event. I am sitting out the Orsinium event currently going on because farming mats isn't of interest and I can't do vMA. No big deal.
