lynog85✭✭✭well, Nb's are a class where it actually doesnt even matter too much which sets you are using. the Overall wide range of their kit allows them to make basicly every set work on their class. a weaker or unconventionell Equipment can easily be compensated by the use of the right skills and playstyle, and vice versa

I like ripo/trans but only in a group. Riding solo i find i have way more survivability and much more dmg with necro/shackle. 1v1 its also vastly superior.
You do not ever get more survivability from necro shackle in light. riposte effects shields and no set increases effective shield size more than riposte will, there's no arguement for any set adding more defense on a shield build, which you're obviously running.
There's no logical argument for 4 necro on a HoT based build either, 3 willpower+masters destro is superior damage if you insist on running shackle.
Let's not even get into how pointless shackle is when tri-glyphs and 2 pieces heavy will give you adequate stam sustain. You're talking about a dueling build that doesn't have the defense to stay alive open world when focused. Shadow image isn't working so you don't even have a reliable way to make cloak work.
People gotta stop with the duel builds like they're useful elsewhere, shieldbreaker is a real thing open world, so is having 6 people focus you. Shieldstack mageblade builds don't perform well under those circumstances, especially without shadow image.

Thats literally the biggest load of nonesense ive ever read. First of all, who said i never used shadow image? Dont assume because i dont have 5 necro i auto dont use image. Secondly i never said it was a duelling build i said in a duel t will DESTROY a trans riposte build. Secondly why are you assuming im using shackle for the stam sustain? Im using it because i dont have the optimal race so i like being able to run witchmothers. Lastly lets get into this willpower masters nonesense. 4 necro gives me 3k plus max mag. 3 willpower gives me 1500 plus 189 spell dmg. Which is roughly 40 more spell dmg if you go by 1000 max being 100SD. Masters staff does literally nothing seeing as it no longer has passive max mag nor do i use reach. Shields scale better with more magicka and so do heals. The very best NB on this game use similar set ups are you one of them? You most defo are not.2 -

I didn't read your wall of text, only the first few lines, but from a 1v1 standpoint I disagree. Shackle/necro > trans/riposte for a few reasons.
1: this applies to open world - you can't expect to survive in small groups in light using 1 shield (heal ward), it's absurd.
2: in duels, necro/shackle = necro+shackle+riposte, because of shade
3: the setup is simply not good this patch against any good built opponent. Derra tried it in duels against our top heavy stamblade. Note that in my opinion derra is the best magblade on pc eu (and that says something about overall skill
) and he lasted a total of 8 seconds against 5.4k wep dmg burst. 1 -

Nooo i´m way from being a good mNB. Heresya, Shali, cloakedd are mechanically way better than i am - once i manage to not *** up funnelweaves we can talk.
I´ve honestly never tried playing trans riposte with a shield (which is what i think lexxy does?) - because my premise of playing magblade always was that i don´t want to use a shield - which hindered any approach of going lightarmor magblade from the beginning.
Especially going up against heavyarmor + healdebuff.
Against a dedicated dueling build like that you need one yourself - which would be necro, durok, skoria for me personally against jeff.
I have enough experience to give a somewhat informed opinion on magblade if it does not involve shields - but other than that i wouldn´t reference myself on the classes performance (currently - since i´ve only played it after morrowind release up until about august).Edited by Derra on November 14, 2017 7:58AM<Noricum>

Hes won multiple tournaments on different classes and before he stopped playing would complete all group and solo pve on all classes and get flawless on them all.0 -
