KodiPvP, how does he do it?

Because he's good? You do realize there are a lot of people who are good at this game more than just the people who stream it.

Kodi does so well because he's good but he's also running whatever is the most broken build at any given time. Stam warden and stamplar are the two best and most broken classes in the game, by far. Not even close how OP those two classes are compared to every other class.

Im not saying Kodi is a 'subtle cheat' since I cant know, but lots of 'good' competitors still cheat. So the 'he cant be a cheat coz he's gud' argument is not really valid irl.

On the contrary, its often people that are already 'really gud' who can be tempted to cheat to become 'really really gud' !

There are so many in sport that were already at top 10 world best, but still chose to cheat to get the extra 1-10% edge.. Remember Lance Armstrong?

I said that is strange because i just recorded you getting the big burst heal from rally while we were fighting. No response after that...

40% uptime on snare, root, and CCimmunuty exists in another way that's not cheating

This was not 40% snare immunity uptime. This was a 3-4 minute fight with 100% uptime that I eventually just walked away from.

Try and focus on what he said, then imagine how he pulled off a burst heal by refreshing "forward momentum"...

Try and quell your fanboism long enough to consider, he might be a cheater. And yes, I have considered he may not be before you jump in with the 'No You' argument.

Stamina wardens have a class-based burst heal (Soothing Spores) and don't need Rally at all. Have you considered this at all?

The mushrooms are pretty subtle, actually.

Could be Soothing Spores -> bar swap cancel -> Forward Momentum. To someone that's just looking for excuses to call someone a cheater that can quickly look like a rally burst heal. :p

Just tested on my warden - bar swap or block cancel, the mushrooms always spawn :p .. would be really hard to miss seeing this over several minutes

He is just very experienced and a good player. Together with that he has a good PC and nearly no lag. Thats all what you need. Then create a build, what works well in 1vs1 or 1vsX. Staminabuilds have more to survive and you just need to stay long enough to bring your opponents down. They will be frustrated when they cant bring him down with 4-5 guys and start to make mistakes B)

A solo player not only have to rely on itself but he have to learn how to perma buff, perma heal, sustain and deal damage while getting attacked by numerous opponents, any player exposed to this kind of playstyle for thousands of hours reach a level of skill that is just insane because they are not playing the same game than you in their head.

Can you get to a solo player level? No, you need thousands of hours in PvP to even be close.

Just play pvp for 3k or more hours.

It's like asking what the key it to doing a standing backflip is. Practice, practice, practice and skill.

And a really good system with low latency. Don’t expect to do anything fancy if you’re system isnt up to the task of handling the cpu/got load and your latency isn’t as low as possible. It’s possible to do well on a subpar system/connection but you won’t be 1vXing like crazy even if you practice that much. Also, keep in mind that those videos are edited and usually a collection of time with the noobiest noobs coming after him. Even he’s shown videos where he was honest and had some trouble agains a few better players. Anyone can do a bit of 1vX with a little practice. Just about finding the right situation.

Guys, you're over estimating the average skill level of opponents featured in 1vx videos haha

Last night in shor I(stamplar) a magdk and warden tank took on a 20v3 and won up near bleakers. and we're no where near kodi's level..Well maybe the magdk lol. its not hard to fathom that kodi can take out a lot of players using LOS and a good build.

Not sure how Kodi does it as I don't even know own who he is , but one tip I will give people in PvP who wonder why they do bad is exactly what you said in the op

Staying calm is key, when you get frustrated or panic you tend to but mash and this drains resources

Know your build , know your limits and stay calm so you can fire off those heals at the right time to bring health up and continue the fight

Spamming heals or break free will get you killed more times than it will save you

In the Middle Ages, people use to attribute things they did not understand or comprehend to magic, the supernatural witchcraft, etc.

Since the Scientific Revolution, people have become so much more intellectually sophisticated that ttheye now attribute things they do not understand to conspiracy, the influence of the media/Internet, and videogame hacks.

You can't tell me there isn't a media influence when most people still literally think Sarah Palin said, "I can see Russia from my porch!"

When SnL is quoted for most people as a reference... There most definitely a media influence

That is called muscle memory. I do that too. It is not a macro. For me, when i play DW Magsorc, i look *** because i always do a light or medium weave. So there i am, swinging my swords, cancelled into Wrath/Curse/Frags/Whatever. When you get A/C hardwired enough into your system, that is what happens.

Just FYI. What may look like cheating to some, is a sign of expertise for others.

The only hack Kodi uses is whatever damn hack he he pulled on his ISP to get him such a fast connection.

It's one thing to have a ping like that. It's another thing entirely to have a ping like that WHILE STREAMING.

his tap blocks are the best in the game atm.

Joy I usually enjoy reading your posts and agree most of the time. But cannot on this one. Dredlord made a valid point. Watch Kodi's streams. Forget about latency and all that.

Focus on what was presented. I have noticed it as well. He literally is immune nearly 100% of the time. He also has an extremely high chance of dodge.

Lets just discuss the immunity. Watch his stream and watch how rarely he gets snared or cc'd. Explain that to me please?

Wow this thread is still going, let me break ESO PvP players down for you

Group A: These people are casuals and its not a bad thing, they are the meat and potato's of Cyrodiil. Maxed an alt or two, so the story is meh, probably wrapped clockwork city, did a undaunted daily or two and now just want to futz around on their main. They used to be the minority (think back a few years if youve been here) they are now the majority of the cyrodiil player base.

Group B: These people and their buddies group all the time and head out to cyro. Might be once a week, a raid night, might be every night. These people rely on others to succeed. Again, not a bad thing at all its necessary really. This can be anyone from duo's, to guilds running.

Group C: dedicated PVP players. These are the people who log into ESO because when they first played they were blown away by the combat and its still pretty dam good. Some of these people move in out of group B and D but they log in for PVP. They will do PVE for something they need in cyro but for the most part this is all they do. These are good players who understand timing, most of these people can animation cancel, understand movement and LOS and generally put up a fight. They will loose to Group A's zergs and Group B if they are solo but they can hold their own.

Group D : The 1% these are the people who spend hours prefecting rotations, test skills for effect, test gear these are the min maxers. They can literally do it all and have. They have hours and hours on their toons, they might even have their lovers IRL call them by their toons names when intimate because they are often thinking about ESO PVP, their toon and how to kill yours.

Group E: the 1% of the 1% these are your streamers often, these are the people that derive an income from their game play. Now there are people in this group that dont make money off it (think ZED vivec pc fans) but this group has to be the best, has to have BIS and has a network of people in game helping them achieve it. Multiple gold sets, Maelstrem weapons, your choice of monster set.

Kodi is a group E guy, hes good he has all the skills of the other groups but his motivation extends beyond being good in game, its income. Alcast, Deltia, Sypher all these players at one time or another were top of what they did.

Always follow the money kids, lol.
