Although the tank could just have been a bad one. I just had a run with a tank who only used the undaunted taunt - and did not do any buff or debuff for the party. Used 2H weap, no sword and board. There are selfish tanks out there who literally just think they need to grab a bit of aggro here and there and then 'dps'.

Ive played this game for over 2000 hours. Have max cp, and I still haven't done all pve content. 99% of my time has been solo nb pvp in cyrodiil. I have VMA weapons, and some pretty decent gear. However if you put me in one of the dungeons I haven't completed yet or, any trials I would have no idea what is going on.

12 man group? That would be the biggest group I've ever been in.

Just a few weeks ago I learned that over taunting was a thing.

I've been playing for over two years. Lack of knowing every mechanic doesn't mean "purchased account"....

And just calling the move chains? I can never remember ANY exact move names. I don't sit there studying the name. I look at what it does, and if I like it, I get it. I myself always refer to the chains as the "get over here" chain, ala MK Scorpion.

Cripes, I have been here since the beginning, but going by this thread I probably look like a lvl CP663 noob lol! I have big "sausage" fingers and cant even count how many times I have accidently hit the wrong keys. I am not a min/maxer, haven't done everything in this game yet, not by a long shot. There are dungeons I have never set foot in yet, I would be totally lost in them :p .

People play this game for different things, might not know everything mechanic of it, or even care. Perhaps some that play have disabilities, I know a few on here that do and am fine with it, they are doing something they enjoy.

Bottom line, it would be next to impossible to tell if someone bought a high lvl account, unless they come out and told you.

like who gives a flying f if someone bought an acc?

Well, Bethesda and ZOS for one. This is still a BUY to Play game, which implies that Bethesda and ZOS should get paid for it by the person who is using it.

They did get paid; the original owner paid them. Or should used book sales be illegal?

Bethesda's lawyers can argue all day long about how the thing that was sold was a non-transferrable license and is thus not subject to the first sale doctrine. And they would be right if they were to argue their case in US courts (though EU courts would disagree). But regardless of what your local court says about applicability of the first sale doctrine, many reasonable people would come to the conclusion that treating digital resale differently than physical resale makes no sense, esp. since in this case the original owner is deprived of access. And this is why virtually nobody "gives a flying f" about account resales.

Leveling a tank is easy, I got one at lv 22 so far and have a guide to use as I am unlocking more stuff. One dungeon with the armor turtle things I guess is how you would describe them, they burrow. I tanked the boss one with 28k hp and 18th stam I think about 4k magic and it was a breeze. In the same dungeon I tanked four trolls at once. It's pretty easy especially when you have a guide that someone wrote to help others.

I have not met anyone, whom I suspected bought their account. That does not mean it does not exist but I think the premise, upon which you base your suspicions upon, @Tasear , are not very convincing.

I am well over the max CP cap but I had never made a Tank char until quite recently. Consequently, I am still learning how to play the class and what skills are not only desirable to use but which of those skills best suit my style of play.

You said Tasear, that one Tank told you "... they couldn't taunt more than 3 times". That might not be the full picture but, from what I have read, that appears to be the case - under certain circumstances and conditions.

You said "Had a dps at vet 660 using healing orbs then saying I am still learning how to play so forgive me."

Check out what @Alcast has to say about the Energy Orb morph, for his CATALIST, PvE, HoTR, DK Tank. Perhaps the particular Tank you encountered was a bit more knowledgeable than you think.

I would have voted "yes" dozens of times, when I look up the usual DD I ecnounter in PUGs (bow/bow LA spammer standing on 28m), but sadly I know, that such things are even possible with hundreds of CPs by just powergrinding anchors, Wayrest and Skyreach (terms to know: "Anchor Specialist" and "Skyreach Baby") and having no interest in ever understanding game mechanics.

The "I can't taunt more than 3 times" might be an oldschool player who had a long offline time and has no clue that this is old knowlegde. Formerly taunting more than 3 times in a certain time window causes a mob to go random aggro. This can still happen if 2 tanks are present in a trial group and overtaunt theirselves.

While I certainly would be suspicious of anyone maxed out and equally maxed out in cluelessness, it could be that the individual leveled in PvE solo stuff and wasn't particularly social. Some solo players have no idea about group tactics (or even proper builds) and never had to think about it before since solo play doesn't really demand it. That was certainly evident during the Midyear Mayhem event when a lot of champion level players joined PvP for the first time.

What I can imagine though is people skyreach grinding to max and not knowing how to play the game because they have literally been carried from day 1.

The other day in Craglorn, there was a player wanting someone to take him through Skyreach to 'grind' to level 10 so he could go PVP.

    That's a carry from Day 1!
