I don't think a lot of people know this, but I'm just gonna tell the story anyway. So, about 1.5 years ago ESO admins banned a TON of accounts for botting in conjunction with gold selling(RMT). Shortly after, ESO had a major DDoS(and possibly other security breaches) against several of its servers, the game was virtually unplayable for almost a week. Its believed that DDoS attack was retaliation for interfering with the RMT business.
Since that specific incident they've all but stopped banning bots and things are running out of control.

I feel like the only people complaining about bots are people who make money off of mats. As far as I'm concerned, paying 200g for a Columbine vs 500g is a win for me.
While I have not seen true bots since the 2014 launch (invisible ones, and the teleporting ones) I have seen a few multiboxers farming wildlife. I have stopped reporting them because even after a week or 2, they're still there. Not worth the time and hassle to report.
Also, if you take away the craftbag, subscriptions will plummet (I know I'd cancel my subscription). ZOS won't do that.

Current bots are mostly 1) players AFK leveling, 2) gold sellers AFK level accounts for sale to noobs.None of that will do anything against bots.
In my opinion, what every game should do against bots: Check what they r offering and undercut them in Cashshop.
For eso, that would be offering gold and gold tempers.
Im aware the poor poor economy would die a horrible death and it would be evil evil pay-to-win.
Totally worth it imo to get rid of bots. Also, can remove those items from cs when bots r gone.

They're evil, but a neccessary evil in my eyes. Killing your immersion? Then pretend its a freaking party of adventurers or something. I just can't fathom why we have a new bots post every single day
After first bot war after launch we had ~1,5 years of game without bots or at least visible. Zose doesn't really care about taking actions right now. What could be done tho
