Why Don't Maces/Maul Ignore Targets Spell Resistance?

Seems like an unnecessary restriction for it to be only physical resistance.

Promise this has nothing to do with my recent reward of a gold wizards riposte mace infused >.>

Because DW skills scale of Max Stamina which is assosiated with physical penetration

There are no magicka based DW skills or skills that require DW and scale off max magicka

It's the same as asking why staffs do not ignore physicical resistance. It's because all of the skills associated with staffs are based off max magicka and spell power which has nothing to do with physical penetration

I guess that's just how the game is designed

Then why does Twin Blade Blunt Bleed increase all damage done for swords and not just physical damage?

Because consistency and explaining game mechanics is not the strong side of ESO?

Because it would be too unfair with mages as total WD and SD increased by DW Sword is greater than 2h Staff!

Mages need a new skill line instead of having dual wield swords for damage increase. With DW swords, Mages are losing weapon enchantement proc bonus anyway as its harder to perform light attack and mages not use dual wield skills
