I prefer hearing about exploits after they are fixed. Why? Because it cuts down on temptation. Nobody is tempted to try out a exploit that is already fixed. So no risk of getting banned because you were a curious Khajit and couldn't control yourself.
Side note, i hope your account gets fixed @nine9six cus that just sux. And if it means a roll back, then i really don't mind the extra time i'll have to play to get back to where i left off. Cus thats just not cool to do that to people.

That's very true. It's always tough to choose a time to do maintenance since someone will always be affected. But playing before 6am? Ouch!
Hmm. Well, I am sure you guys are hard at work getting things fixed up and will let us know if there's something actionable we as players need to be aware of once the dust has settled. In the meanwhile, this gives me ample time to make a delicious toasted egg sandwich for breakfast and do my laundry up town. We all have our errands, I guess.

In the case a server roll back occurs I'm outright happy my last vMA run didn't yield the fabled sharpened destro.

Unless there is a law or legal requirement, there shouldn't be a reason to not be 'allowed to say' - at least in the most generic terms.. e.g. some people were found to 'get' 50 items for the price of 1 - whatever - without giving up the exploit (so people dont frantically try to discover it) and sure do this after you take the servers down.
There is no 'not allowed' - its simply a 'choose not to' because most users tolerate it and *some* would rather focus on flower or kitten memes
If a roll back happens.. I lose 225k that I had just made from a sale of a Necropotence Lightning Staff
I need that gold to use towards a mansion when I get there.. lol.

would you be able to clarify exactly what the exploit was once its fixed? please? I know, I know, curiosity killed the cat and all, but would just really like to know. don't say how it was done, just what was it that people accomplished with it.

It's ok. This can be a good place to chat in the meantime.

... but atleast its not like eve-online when they found a large exploit the servers were instantly shut down with no warning. So at least you got a warning.:)
This is ZOS - Their on/off switch is RNG based, so they only have a 1 in 6 million chance of getting the result they want whenever they press it. They are thinking about introducing a token system to make it faster, but there's no ETA yet.

Dont bother asking - all of these posts are being ignored and the 'light banter' ones are being responded to.
Further, we should also be told how many bans were issued.
I'm checking with a few contacts and most are certain they know what it is - not very impressed - dang those cheaterz!

I never encounter any exploit from 1990's
I dont know what people realy do are they playing a game or are they trying to crack the servers?
Well there was a item bug on time in eve online but that was ccp's error and I think I got to keep it as
memory by ccp
And there was some error in a sql server on ED and we got to keep it
it's only a game not irl issues

Hey! Don't knock it till you try it.
I get up at 4:30 am and play till 6 am before getting ready for work. Sometimes that is the only time I get to play.
I am on the East coast and often find West coast players doing a late night play. They say good night and I reply good morning. LOL

You do realize people put "Time" into playing games, and also not to mention they're is very personal information most of the time on those games you don't want others to know about, so don't go there ever about "It's only a game not Irl issues" it definitely is a "RL issue"
