They also probably aren't the type of people who create a post in the forums as a way to brag, hidden behind a fake question.

They're cutting portal health in half so they die when you breath on them now. Two people will also be able to close them at a time, so if one person refuses to, the other can do it.
The mechanic was so simple. If your screen turns grey, focus on nothing but the portals. If you have aggro, someone needs to take it from you. Too many people ignore one or both responsibilities.
I never understood why some people ignore the portals. That's the only way you can wipe on that fight. And they're insanely easy to deal with. 1 light attack kills them if you're DPS, or a few if you are tank (tank should ideally gear up as DPS for this fight though). You should not have to fight a single add during this battle. And the boss should not be able to kill anyone because you can just pull aggro when she gets close to someone.

I've made today my personal comeback in the pve side of the game after almost a year of pvp only (except questing and farming toons/gold/mats).
I've decided to get ready for tomorrow dlc and to take off the dust in my templar heal.
With crappy gear (4 trasmutation 5 SPC 1 pcs monster helm and 3 random seducer heavy) i've decided to go for the non dlc pledges as a heal, after a while we (pug) believed that it was too hard to find a tank and decided to go 3 dd 1heal holding aggro.
As expected (not really) we facerolled the two pledges, elden hollow1 and blackheart heaven both in hard mode.
Since we where pumped up by the results why not go in the third? wgt was the dlc pledge of the day and we made it... Hard mode with only 1 whipe ( the atronach on the last boss landed in the head of tree of us) with even a bunch of archivements done.
The point is.... I' m the best player and i've found pug tree of the best dd's in the game OR this dungeon has become absolutly outdated and easymode.
What do you guys think? With two new dungeons coming, is the game too easy and need a third stage of difficulty?

You just answered your own question. People struggle cause it's rarely ever explained. And when it's attempted to be explained, a lot of people don't seem to listen. Hell I've been through it multiple times and I still don't fully understand it. I just know about needing to close the portals if your screen grays out. I've forgotten what the mechanic is about the pinion.

You're no daisy ! You're no daisy at all. Poor soul, you are just too high strung.
So I am a technical noob.
I've been playing this game for, come late tomorrow; 3 weeks.
This past week I got White Gold Tower several times, on all 5 characters I'm side by side leveling (3 tanks, 1 healer, 1 DPS). Or at least of them that did a dungeon this week... kind of fuzzy on that, but I went in there a silly number of times.
I think the general notion that the dungeon might be too easy for seasoned players is right. This is a dungeon focused on gimmick fights.
First boss: be able to lock pick a chest while your screen is flashing red.
One of the other bosses: be able to shift focus and one-shot portals when screen is grey, and click the thing in the middle when things go blue, but avoid being in melee range of the boss.
- These are the kinds of 'dance fights' that can be super hard when you first encounter them. But because it is a gimmick, an experienced player can beat the exact same fight on an under-geared minimum level to enter the door, has yet to unlock vital skills character.
White Gold Tower has been wiping the PUGs I've been in all week long, because most of the time I get groups full of mostly new people like me. The two times I had 3 or more experienced players with me, the dungeon went so fast that one time I even thought we'd skipped some of the bosses until people told me "no that was the fight back there..."
Every MMO has content like this. When it comes out people are usually amazing and congratulate devs for making such an original fight. The problem is that once you master the gimmick, it looks like shoddy design.
- There's really only two ways you can design a boss fight. Either with a gimmick like this... or you give it a massive health pool and a lot of bug but steady attacks...
- Players either 'dance' or 'out gear'.
Whichever design you choose... players will applaud it when it's new and tough, and then make fun of it once they have gotten it on 'farm'...
We've all been on this merry-go-round enough times that we should know that, and just kind of realize that's always going to be the case...

When i took my time to explain how the boss works the answers where amazing....
Is not my job to close the portals, I'm tank i can't close them...
After that i got group kicked and when i asked why they told me that i was pretending to teach veteran players how to do stuff XD.
... i want to finish a dungeon and yell on teamspeak " YEAHHHH " we get him down !!! ... get this awesome feeling of acomplishement . And not just " KK thank for the dungeon ,bye. " + the feeling that i have lost my money ...

Not quoting anyone. Take the statement as-is. Most whining about things being too easy stems from this simple postulate. People dont want others to be successfull. This is all.
