I have not played the PTS .
Don't know if I should buy it or skip it .
I know the difference in content . But I am asking about other factors like dungeon design , fun factor and etc .

I kinda like the design of the dungeons more than the SotH ones, but they're just too easy.

Did you try it on a Template character? Have you tried it on a fresh level 10 character?

From what I've heard from friends, the dungeons are actually fun and stuff. Mazzatun and Cradle of Shadows can be so darn tedious at times.

could be that ZOS learned from shadows. when you're trying to sell a dungeon DLC as a stand alone, you don't wanna aim them at the "PVE elite" as it where. make em accessable and everyone will be more incliend to buy it. as it is I've been actively warning people away from buying shadows of the hist

The trash mobs in between have varying threat levels, with some slight mechanics to pay attention to. All the bosses are mechanics-heavy and rely more on situational awareness than pure DPS, especially the one fight where not paying attention has the risk of killing the whole team. The final boss for one of the dungeons covers up so much space in the arena, and there's so much going on inside, that it'll probably take PuGs a few dozen tries on vet to work up the coordination to pull through it on hard mode.

Now it's up to you to determine if I'm talking about SotH or HotR.

Even if I didn't have ESO+ I'd buy the dungeon like I did with SotH because I really enjoy mechanics-heavy gameplay, and the devs are getting better at making mechanics knowledge more important than raw team damage output.

Yeah, I'd have to preface to anyone asking about SotH "are you finding all the other vet HM dungeons too easy? Because if you are, SotH is for you!
If you think normal is a fun challenge and some HM are impossible, then don't spend the money on SotH

Depends on the dungeon. Falkreath fits the "same" category. Bloodroot is more fun and engaging than Falkreath or either of the SotH dungeons.

In any case, if you liked SotH, you'll love HotR. If you hated SotH, you'll probably hate HotR as well.

What I am concerned about the most is the difficulty. I heard they are easier than the SotH dungeons (and even IC ones) which is a shame. I think I won't be playing them as often as I do with the Hist ones. Easy content is boring content. Atm I don't even bother with vanilla dungeons cause I'm bored to death when doing them.

I like the dungeon design more, but its over all too easy to be fun in my opinion. The mechanics are cool, just like in SotH, but far to self explanatory. You die once, instantly understand what to do to prevent it and it's never a challenge again. My group got through both dungeons on vet with a few death and like 3-4 wipes each, even though we had to use templates and PTS was laggy as hell. And I know from other groups that it was pretty much the same for them.

My Beautiful Lake Lodge feels incomplete without this tub. Do you know how hard it is to stay clean in Vvardenfell?

Soot, Ash and Spores invade the air. Slime and muk from all many or tentetcles and insects. Why the Three dont purify our environment evades me! But Blessed Almsivi has reasoning beyond my understanding, I suppose.

Could you just imagine Santie what it would be like in your fur? How any of the cat men can feel comfortable without a proper Bath on our island is a mystery.

The Sooner some brave heroes travel to that nordic forest and take care of some ghastly man bull creatures the sooner my Hlaalu trader will finally provide me with a good honest tub.
About time if you ask me! maybe Nirn as a whole can become a cleaner place.

Putting the skin in the crown store instead of linking it with the overall achievement was cheap and is coloring my view of the dlc quite a lot. However in terms of dungeon design, it is good to see that there are various mechanics in these new dungeons (including shadows of the hist). The non-lava dungeon could be a bit more difficult.

Honestly, without having the ability to test anymore I cant say, but given what people are saying in reguards to 'if you liked shadows you'll like this' I probably wont spend the money, due to me hating the whole ultra hard craze thing Zenimax is trying to appeal to.

Do you also want to have an argument about whether the Browns are better than the Jets?
I am currently worried for the future of ESO. Population seems like it is in free fall and the cancellation of the North America in-person gathering feels very much like pulling the plug. Kudos on fixing the in-game economy though. Clearly whatever gold shenanigans were happening the last couple years are fixed.

If you want to play casual, simply click "normal" on the dungeon finder before entering.

That said, the difficulty is a bit easier than Shadows of the Hist.
