But, since they're obviously not swayed by the additional revenue they'd rake in with an Xbox release... ESO it is...

They want to limit the game on purpose just because they hate change, I guess.been playing eso for 2 years almost 3 now. Master crafter, have the skin, farmed maelstrom. Nothing much to do anymore but doing daily writs and pvp. Dungeons is just useless now since I already have all the monster sets in the right trait with left over keys. Now logging in feels like a chore. And when I pvp I'm always saying to myself what's the point? I'm not having fun like I used to when I was a scrub. Giving ff 14 in some random day was the best decision ever. The game have so much to offer than what eso can do. So many more classes. So much more to do in the game. Very good dungeon finder system. While you que for a dungeon you can go do other things while waiting cause they actually tell you what number you are in the waiting list. So much more to explain but that's not the topic here. I'm still a sub for eso cause I love to support eso hoping for better future content. But for now, I'm enjoying ff 14 a lot more.

FFXIV is a point-and-click MMO. It wouldn't work on console. It also uses too many abilities to map on a controller.

I dont level up because i wanna destroy NPC
I level up because i want to destroy PEOPLE
It does have pvp.
Yes, that was an nice one especially looking how expensive hard drive space has become the last decade.Kyle1983b14_ESO wrote: »Housing and Group finders are far superior in FFXIV, everything else is better in ESO in my opinion.
Wow, just checked out the housing system in FFXIV. Yeah, much better than ESO's.

I can feel the sarcasm !
"Housing not accessed by the owner after a period of time will be reclaimed by the game."

Erm, no it's not, it's a third person game with WASD controls similar to most mmo's out there, it's not point and click. Also Final Fantasy XV (the console version of XIV) is already out on PS4, so there's no reason it couldn't be ported to Xbox.

Yeah, ESO and BDO are my two favorite MMOs of all time. ^_^DivinityDay wrote: »Black Desert
I believe the reason FFXIV never came to XBox is because Microsoft refused to wave the Gold Live fee for players of the game. (And Sony was willing to wave the Plus fee.) Basically that means free tier players were not going to be allowed to play it on that service.Uriel_Nocturne wrote: »If SqEnix would ever release FFXIV on the Xbox, I'd move myself and my wife to FF in a heartbeat...

FFXIV doesn't exist on XBox for only one reason. The director of FFXIV, Naoki Yoshida, refused to divide the community up by platforms as Microsoft was insisting on it with their policies on cross-platform play. It was very publicly announced by him on many gaming forums, websites, and official forums.http://www.rpgsite.net/news/2430-ff14-director-a-realm-reborn-skipping-xbox-is-still-down-to-microsoftRPG Site wrote:Microsoft refuses to allow titles to share multiplayer servers between other platforms. FF14 have an almost max lvl DRK in it...
Combat is UTTERLY boring and slow and clunky....
Ui is a GIANT mess and Overcompliacated for no purpose....
Map navigation is Horrendous.....
PvP barely has any and that small ammount it has is just bad....
Classes are ALL locked into 1 single role....
Its a freaken Track your buffs simulator with all of your abilities adding 3145 different buffs....
Voice acting is half assed some main stories have voice acting but its realy few.....
the story is Cheesy as hell......
TTK if your not a dps class is utterly LONG... and i mean super long... and beacues your class is locked into 1 lore... oh well..
Runing animation.... WTF is that seriously it hurts my eye....
Gear that is not Max level gear or class gear is Utterly Ugly and does not even fit in lol
[*] Combat systems of both ESO and FF14 are not that different, though ESO "feels" a little faster overall.

i agree with you on the majority of the stuff..
but this... THIS...
THIS!!!!!....
is NO... NO.. and NO.... every single game i played out there that is an mmo has better combat then FF14.. im serious... and dont even compare it to Eso.... its Earth and Sky seriously....

I admit, I stopped playing FF14 after playing most of the Heavensward content , so it's not really fresh in my memory anymore.
I just remember the dungeon and trial battles in FF14 being extremely rotation-based, and the bosses all having a preset mechanics rotation that you memorize. At high level, I was just memorizing fights and using pre-memorized skill rotations (I always played a tank in FF14). In these ways, I didn't find FF14 being much different than WoW. Both literally contain the same concepts. The holy trinity is highly in play for both games as well.
ESO is essentially the same game in those regards. Rotation-based. Boss-mechanics and patterns. Holy Trinity.
The ONLY big difference I will admit is that ESO does not not NOT give you any tutorials on how to play your class well haha. This is why there are so many terribad players trying to run Hardmode Trials in ESO. FF14, if I recall, tested your class-specific skills in challenges, essentially training you a bit how to play. At least, this was the case for us tanks.
Again, my memory may be flawed, I fully admit ;P
FFXV Coombat is just shallow and Boring and UTTERLY SLOW.... the only thing you need to watch is some of your buff while you move side ways a few times and try not to fall a sleep..... also allot of the attacks you do does not even feel impactfull....
just many shiny effects and thats it...
