Animation cancelling would allow people to proc sets faster. Overall, it kills competitive gameplay, and if developers have embraced it then it just means they cannot fix it, or just refuse to fix it.
Id imagine with the cooldowns it actually wouldn't. anyway doesn't change the fact. When choosing between something that takes no skill at all and makes the game worse. And something that takes some practice and makes the game worse. Im still voting proc sets the greater evil.
I would disagree, but people are entitled to their opinions in the matter. I do not see much of an issue with set procs as they usually tend to occur by chance, while animation cancelling occurs much more consistently, allowing it to be much more of an issue in my opinion.

It stop being an exploit when devs acknowledge it's an intended feature. What else you got.
The devs didn't acknowledge it as an intended feature, as I will quote from one of them, they 'embraced' it.. meaning it was not intended, but they will keep it around anyways and people will not get reprimanded for using it.

Comparing viper to AC now? this is new...
Viper is 100% proc chance.. how is that chance. Tremor is 50% thats hardly 'chance'

I can only assume you are referring to Viper's Sting, which the proc is on a 4 second cooldown. I hardly call that an issue.

Its been there since forever. It isn't hurting the game any.
It was not as widely used earlier in the game, but the more commonly it gets used, the more it will become an issue.

No, that isn't a lie. Considering you are cancelling your animation to throw out your skills faster, it would indeed proc faster, especially for anything lower than 100%. Compared to using 3 abilities in 5 seconds, or 5 abilities in 5 seconds.. you would have a better chance of procing said ability with animation procing. At least learn to math, man.

Theres a 1s global cooldown on every ability, AC doesn't 'speed' up this cooldown.
If someone spams 1 skill with AC and spams it with AC with nothing else nothing will actually change.

There is more than one global cooldown; one for light/heavy attacks, one for skills and one for ultimates. You can't override any one gcd, but you can overlap the different global cooldowns.

Animation cancelling would allow people to proc sets faster. Overall, it kills competitive gameplay, and if developers have embraced it then it just means they cannot fix it, or just refuse to fix it.
Hey! You don't understand how the base game mechanics work!

Exploit-
In video games, an exploit is the use of a bug or glitches, game system, rates, hit boxes, or speed, etc. by a player to their advantage in a manner not intended by the game's designers.
In b4 someone posts the clip of Wrobel saying they like it in their game. No longer an exploit.
L2P - Thing you should do.

Hey! You don't understand how the base game mechanics work!
You're including players who don't even bother to visit the forums or don't even know what animation cancelling is, let alone heard of it. Nice try, though.
Yet you still don't know how base game mechanics work!
Yet you'll make a rage thread on the basis of your misinformation.
You'll fit right into this forum.
I'm not raging? I just pointed out it's flaws and why it is toxic for the game in general. I am more disappointed than angry with it's existence, but in regards to misinformation, you can continue making assumptions if you wish.
Literally doesn't know the base game mechanics. Posts threads anyway

Ya, don't think you got anything new about it
Well, I am certain I will not be the last. Given how many people have been posting about it, you'd think that ZeniMax would get the hint that quite a few people do not like it.

Literally makes assumptions on a thread and gets called out for making assumptions, still makes assumptions on the same thread.
"Animation cancelling allows you to procs to fire quicker" is literally a lie. You literally don't know what you are talking about. This thread will be closed shortly. Enjoy your evening
And here we go again, shows complete lack of understanding of game mechanics.
Thats called weaving.
Also ultimate cooldown is in line with ability ones.
I am seeing some threads where abilities don't seem to have cooldowns, while other state they do.. so I will have to look into that.
They have a 1s cooldown, you don't need to look into it.
I find the people who complain about animation cancelling are usually the ones who can't be bothered to learn it.
You can do ok without it i guess.
But still is it that hard to press more than 1 button at a time?
I am certain people who complain about it have a wide variety of reasons why they dislike it, whether it be not wanting to learn it, all the way to being out of principle and simply being sick of animation cancelling. I personally dislike it as it lessens the competition of skill. Most players could just as easily macro their abilities to fire off the ability, wait 50ms, then auto initiate right click and left click simultaneously with just a simple press of the button. That is simply manipulation, not skill.
