Happy or Unhappy with the games direction

Currently 28% of voters are happy. That's incredibly low. I hope the devs take notice and start turning things around.

I voted "Unhappy" because most of the friends I made who I played with for over a year have left the game. There wasn't enough there to keep them engaged. That's a bad sign if you're building an online MMO that hopes to attract and retain players (who could turn into subscribers and buyers)

There are a gazillion reasons why people leave, but boredom and frustration probably come close to the top of the list. Still I hope ZOS is learning a ton from this adventure, and can apply those lessons to make the game fresh with contests, events, content and changes that make people want to log in and play every day.

This update will do the exact opposite of that.

The shoet questline areas may be nice, but once players go back to normal content and realize how terribad everything is, people WILL get frustrated because as it is already there is only a VERY small portion of players who have been able to complete end game content CURRENTLY on live. Now AFTER the nerf/update how many players who are still struggling to do the same content fare then? How many players will be effectively locked out forever because they aren't parsing 45k dps? How many new players will ever be given the time of day to be taught?

I'll let you figure your own answers out after pondering those implications

Hope it will be posible to play a normal rota in pve and not just heavy attack builds. I also dont agree with changes to shard and orbs and some others. With current shards and orbs we have good sustain because we work in a team and the nearf feels like we punisch the groups how were able to make this to bring them down to the groups that not able making good suport.

PVE Lord Victarion mDK : dro'm-Athra-Destroyer pre Morrowind retired for crafting
PVE Ramsay-Bolton magicka NB: Voice of Reason Clockwork City Patch retired
VAA hm/ VHRC hm/ VSO hm/ VMOL hm/ VHOF hm/ VAS hm clear

Stop playing PVE because its boring, content not disigned for melee players and class balance and sustain is ***

You should make this poll again once Morrowind gets released, most people didn't tested the changes and don't want to believe the people who did so their opinion will remain unchanged until they see it.

Dislike the heavy focus on the RNG cash crates, seems like that is the main thing they are working on now. If there is stuff in the crown store that I like, I will buy it. I refuse to gamble on stuff, which limits what I can actually purchase from the store. I wish they would just make all the stuff in the crates available for purchase on its own like the normal mounts and pets etc that you can purchase. I wish they would stop nerfing vampires too, I mean what purpose does making all those skills require stage 4 have ? It's not like you can hide the fact that you are a vampire any more than wearing a full face helmet and covering armour.

I like a change from time to time, making the content more challenging is good, recycling and adding sets and gear keeps you engaged and with a purpose... I just think that the way ZOS is trying to make the content more challenging (the bunch of nerfs and sustain changes in general) will just result in an utterly boring and not rewarding system.
The so called 'heavy attack meta' eveyone talks about is just boring for me... yeah, challenging and more difficult, but in the wrong way.

    Just my opinion.

And it has been widely said that players like yourself, ones clearing vMoL HM with ease, will adjust just fine though they question how fun the new world will be.

However, the game isn't just about the elites such as yourself. There are more moderate raiders and raid groups that will struggle to adjust and their numbers as emu has created than those you raid with.

Of course my comment is based on that you say end game content easy which I can only take that as you have cleared the toughest content.

I'm not elite lol, I'm pretty casual. I don't belong to a 'raid group' or raid that regularly. I've just experienced enough content to know it's too easy, even as a casual raider

Since powercreep has gotten higher and CP were introduced overland content has turned into a joke.

I'd just like to point out that this is not due to player powercreep, it's due to the drastic nerf made by ZOS to all enemies across the board (many players haven't been around long enough to remember when this happened), followed by One Tamriel changes.

Happy with the attempt to address damage creep, happy with cp changes and increased front loading/diminishing returns. Think the sustain nerf was well-meaning but poorly executed. The nerfs to light and medium armor passives are baffling and frustrating. Very disappointed and confused about the loss of major mending for ritual, and also quite salty about the repentance nerf. A nerf for me anyway, sitting at 38k stam. Hopefully some changes are still under consideration.

    @pelennor_fields

    It's not.

In the three patches the PTS has had no adressed changes have been made. Entire community howling about the sustain changes and nothing.

What hits the PTS will hit live with minor bugfixes. It's the way it's been, it's the way it allways will be until the current dev team is replaced.

First of all, there's been a really terrible trend over the last year.

    1. Crown Exclusive motifs. Not cool.
    2. Crown Crates. WAY not cool.
    3. Halving the amount of content per year that ESO+ buys you and trying to make it up with in-game advantages. So not cool, I'm surprised there wasn't a large number of ZOS staff quitting rather then be a part of this.

Then, on top of all that, they decided that the answer to End-Game Elites having infinite sustain was to nerf Resource Management for everyone, even those who already have lousy sustain. So, on the one hand I'm pretty let down by ZOS lately.

On the other hand, they still make compelling and addictive story content and have created a world I love being a part of.

They've done a lot to lose my respect in the last year, but Morrowind content could still leave me in the positive camp.

I really think trying to balance PvE & PVP together is a bad decision. Separate the 2 out and balance independently.

Well that's exactly the point. I've decided to not participate in much of the end game because the majority of it is boring stack and burn infinite sustain stuff I could do while picking my nose. Instead my wife and I are getting the master angler achievement, going in pvp more, and just generally enjoying the game casually.

The poll is asking how I feel about the direction of the game. I don't care what you or other people want

1T took the game in a direction only GW2 seemed to promise before it started sucking.

I just don't have anymore patience left in me for gear refreshes and obsolete content.

On the fence just because I get what they are trying to do and I would be fine with it; but it seems half baked and uneven and this is while giving them the benefit of the doubt on whether there is a money grab conspiracy to drive people to buy the expansion for a Warden.

I have some respect for the development team in that I do believe they really care about the game based on interactions I have seen by them; but they do make some questionable decisions that seem to contradict that goal.

I love the game and its Contents... perfect story lines, awesome and huge maps, new contents, perfect graphics, very good and natural atmosphere, charater edit is crazy good, items looks are great...very good looking dungeons and trials , good boss mechanics and uniq of course....

    however;

    - Balance for classes: are going so wrong way
    - Balance for races : are poor
    - Combat and play style is going to wrong way at all with slow heavy attacks with slow play style and very fast ending sustains(right way but wrong amount)
    - Too much LAGs and BUGs
    - items set balance are very poor and no development for bad or useless items and sets
    - broken dungen finders
    - bad and poor patching...
    - Very very very Bad RNG

as a result for me: WORLD IS AWESOME BUT,stuff in it very poor and need very much development...

I'm not thrilled with all the nerfs, but I know they're necessary. The power creep has been brewing for too long. It's time to flip the meta on its head. HOWEVER, zos needs to put counters back in the game. Way too many abilities in this game can no longer be dodged, blocked, interrupted or reflected. They've completely removed all counterplay this game once had. Too much fire and forget gameplay. No need to think anymore. This isn't going to mix well with all the nerfs to sustain for solo players.

One Tamriel was a good move, but nerfing players after that ( beginning with homestead..and soon continuing with Morrowind...) is not a good choice.

No other MMO is using the same concept. A MMO is all about progression and content to grow.

Also ..PVP and PVE must be separated . This way, balance could be made better.

Next big update possibly will make the existing hardest content ( vet trials , vma and vet DLC dungeons ) to be more hard ..

So if we have 1 % of the player base that completed the hardest content now...soon we will have 0,1 %

And please make this poll again in july ;)

I really like the game up to the end game. But the infinite grind is too much. Can you imagine running the same dungeon 100 times? Just to get one piece of gear? Not gonna do it.

And crafting ... forget it. This isn't a crafting game.

And housing with no storage? Insane.

And don't get me started on the Crown gambling.

And subbing to the game means nothing.

So no, the direction is not the way I want to go.

Everything about Morrowind and the Morrowind patch is designed with 1 thing in mind. To get as much cash as possible from as many players as possible.
Game balance means nothing to ZOS as long as new players spend cash and stay around for a while to spend some more.
ZOS is all about $$$$$$$ and nothing else.
    They will not fix bugs.
    They will not fix Cyrodiil.
They will not fix group finder.
They will not fix console MoL.
All they do is lie and lie again to keep the $$$$ coming in.
