If it is out on PTS with full achievement tab and title, it is 99% that it will stay that way. Same as with Jester, new year and witches festivals, when they were introduced on PTS.
Also please spare me this pvp nonsense like Im some weekling, who plays only stupid pve and you are big, tough pvp guys - I said my comp cant run Cyrodiil and its zergs and im long past that age when I need to prove my big e-peen to someone.
Balticthunder wrote: »There is this upcoming event on PTS, something like Midyear Mayhem, which is completely pvp content!
Why?
Me and many other people avoid pvp in this game like plague, now people are forced to Cyrodiil to complete this event and its achievements!
So whats next? Event which force you to join hardcore raiding guild to complete it?
Wasn't those game events were meant for fun? Why then you are forcing people now into specific gameplay to take part in your events?!
Seriously ZOS! How dare you try something fun for people that enjoy that when the OP clearly does not enjoy it. The fact that people who PVP might enjoy this while the OP does not like it is totally unacceptable.
Please consult the OP the next time you try to do anything fun to make sure they are OK with your method

I'll just quote this post again. This event is 100% according to lore, making your arguments(those I've seen so far) invalid. The event is anchored in lore. It's got a meaning. Oh and don't compare ingame-events to real-life holidays. ESO has been a game for a much shorter time than you've been alive.
So having to come up with Holidays as the year passes along, nothing wrong with that.

So, this event is celebrated only by Imperial priests of st.Alessia - are the rest of us, players, and our characters Imperial priests of st. Alessia? Why the rest of Tamriel give a care for such personal celebration of some Imperial priests?

And you are entitled to it. However,ZOS_GinaBruno wrote: »Lastly, we know there’s some apprehension that we’re balancing PvE and PvP gameplay simultaneously without separating the two. Are you even serious? If you and your friends are that assiduous in avoiding PVP, I am sure you will be able to carefully avoid this event too. Stop using the word "forced" for things that aren't well...forced. Was I forced to do the stupid Jester Fest? Was that a "Forced PVE Event"?? I was forced to endure the whole countryside being overrun with flower-flinging clowns, but I took it in stride like many people and didn't try to ruin anyone elses's fun.
PVP is a part of this game. Contemplate that, take a moment to absorb it, and deal with it. If I want an awesome Maelstrom weapon, I am forced to do grindy, boring, robot-slaying over and over, but I don't get on the forums and cry. I don't complain about gear being "locked" behind "forced" events or "walls" or whatever the trending verbiage of entitlement is. If you want a PVP achievement, PVP. If you don't want to--and this is key: don't.
But you don't get to be a General anyway.
Maybe you should try this event out when it comes along, you might even (*gasp*) enjoy it. This phobia some ESOers have about confronting other players' toons in an MMO is to my mind, indicative of some kind of emotional pathology. It doesn't sound at all rational. Your toon gets killed by robots all the time. PVP will not in fact, cause you actual physical harm. I promise. I can actually be really fun, if you let it be.
Balticthunder wrote: »Also there were already some pvp events before, forgot that?
I hoped i explained my concerns quite well, but nevertheless most answers here I got is : oh this guy dont like pvp, lets show him.

What phobia, what pathology, what robots and actual physical harm you are talking about?! You people really love to overblown some small things.
So, like PvPers were "forced" to complete Hollowjack, New year, Jester, all the PvE content etc. etc.?...
You are not "forced". Don't participate. The choice is 100% in your hands.
Seriously - I swear, some of you use that word too liberally. SMH.

No PVPers weren't forced to do anything, because PVPers dont give a s..t about PVE content, especially some silly events, or now they do?
