I'll just quote this post again. This event is 100% according to lore, making your arguments(those I've seen so far) invalid. The event is anchored in lore. It's got a meaning. Oh and don't compare ingame-events to real-life holidays. ESO has been a game for a much shorter time than you've been alive.
So having to come up with Holidays as the year passes along, nothing wrong with that.

I believe HOLIDAY events are part of pve story line, they are events celebrated in Tamriel by its inhabitants and we as a players take part in them and that's why I'm upset that new HOLIDAY event is out of nowhere pure pvp thing!

If it is out on PTS with full achievement tab and title, it is 99% that it will stay that way. Same as with Jester, new year and witches festivals, when they were introduced on PTS.
Also please spare me this pvp nonsense like Im some weekling, who plays only stupid pve and you are big, tough pvp guys - I said my comp cant run Cyrodiil and its zergs and im long past that age when I need to prove my big e-peen to someone.

You keep thinking that PvE content means "for all players" and like, come on, doing the same quest every day is not what is fun to everyone but because that was designed with YOU in mind you think that's designed for everyone. Hell, we can't even use the mementos in Cyrodiil so like how is that designed with everyone in mind when they are so clearly PvE only! Not to mention every time there is an event in the PvE realm it takes people away from PvP every time leaving PvP feeling pretty dead and empty.

So yeah, let people have this, and don't QQ because it's content you don't want to do. If you don't want to do it, don't do it. I don't do trials because I don't have fun with it. I don't do Malestrom because I never found it fun. Like what's hard to understand of some content being created for somebody other than specifically you? I don't expect ZOS to constantly pump out PvP content and PvP events I don't complain when there are PvE events because like I get it, it's a lot of fun for a lot of people. However, when you demand something that is fun for somebody else be cut out because you don't like it then that's just being a sore sport.

Seriously ZOS! How dare you try something fun for people that enjoy that when the OP clearly does not enjoy it. The fact that people who PVP might enjoy this while the OP does not like it is totally unacceptable.

Please consult the OP the next time you try to do anything fun to make sure they are OK with your method

There is this upcoming event on PTS, something like Midyear Mayhem, which is completely pvp content!
    Why?
Me and many other people avoid pvp in this game like plague, now people are forced to Cyrodiil to complete this event and its achievements!
So whats next? Event which force you to join hardcore raiding guild to complete it?
Wasn't those game events were meant for fun? Why then you are forcing people now into specific gameplay to take part in your events?!

If I want specific gear or items I'm forced to pve.....

It just feels like a basic lack of empathy to demand content be changed or cut because it isn't the content he wants to do. Like come on can't you just be happy for the people who are getting something?

I'm glad they are finally doing something for pvp. Whether you like it or not it's part of the game and you are not forced to do anything. If the achievements are that important to you then complete the event in an empty campaign and who knows you might actually enjoy yourself.

And you are entitled to it. However,
Lastly, we know there’s some apprehension that we’re balancing PvE and PvP gameplay simultaneously without separating the two. We are 100% committed to supporting a single unified game where mechanics and abilities work consistently, with the goal being for players to learn how play efficiently and be able to transfer those skills to other environments. This is one of the reasons we added CC immunities to monsters; when ESO originally launched, you could knock the same mudcrab down over and over. The balance changes we made in this update are aimed at making gameplay more interesting in all areas of the game.

Are you even serious? If you and your friends are that assiduous in avoiding PVP, I am sure you will be able to carefully avoid this event too. Stop using the word "forced" for things that aren't well...forced. Was I forced to do the stupid Jester Fest? Was that a "Forced PVE Event"?? I was forced to endure the whole countryside being overrun with flower-flinging clowns, but I took it in stride like many people and didn't try to ruin anyone elses's fun.

PVP is a part of this game. Contemplate that, take a moment to absorb it, and deal with it. If I want an awesome Maelstrom weapon, I am forced to do grindy, boring, robot-slaying over and over, but I don't get on the forums and cry. I don't complain about gear being "locked" behind "forced" events or "walls" or whatever the trending verbiage of entitlement is. If you want a PVP achievement, PVP. If you don't want to--and this is key: don't.

But you don't get to be a General anyway.

Maybe you should try this event out when it comes along, you might even (*gasp*) enjoy it. This phobia some ESOers have about confronting other players' toons in an MMO is to my mind, indicative of some kind of emotional pathology. It doesn't sound at all rational. Your toon gets killed by robots all the time. PVP will not in fact, cause you actual physical harm. I promise. I can actually be really fun, if you let it be.

I hoped i explained my concerns quite well, but nevertheless most answers here I got is : oh this guy dont like pvp, lets show him.

The only "pvp" event was the anniversary of IC. I suppose that kinda counts, IC is really just pve with a chance of pvp but okay for arguments sake we will call it a pvp event. Still, that's one compared to the 4 or 5 pve events we have had.

This game is made up of both pve and pvp. I think its fantastic they are doing events to appeal to ALL lovers of this game. I was not "forced" to do the pve events, I didn't like them, they were boring but I wanted the stuff so I chose to do them. Same thing here, you aren't being forced into anything. You can choose to do it or choose not to.

I don't think anyone is trying to belittle you just because pvp isn't your thing. I think, people are trying to show you that there are many people who this event will appeal to, just as you dont wish to participate in pvp activities, there are plenty who feel the same about pve. Absolutely nothing wrong with giving to both sides.

Do they care about the event itself? No, they probably dont, but dont think for one second that people who pvp dont want all the things that come with the events. They are gamers too ya know. Also, *gasp* there are people who love the entirety of the game, pve and pvp.. but they dont count? Dont matter? Dont deserve to have all the things? Come on man lol now you are just being silly.

You say pvp'ers werent forced to do anything, yet you are complaining about the exact same thing.

    Ok last try:

It doesn't really matter what you believe.

There's been three holiday events that 'forced' PVP players into PVE if they wanted to complete it.

Events should be for everybody <- this is only possible if set up like the anniversary event, as dailies in both environments counted. Fulltime PVP players don't want to have to go into PVE for this stuff, but they do. They also go into PVE for gear.

Turn your graphics down and get into Cyrodiil or be quiet and let the PVP population have a slice of the pie.

Scrub: Chews-on-Beavers - 50 EP DK Tank | Vera the Wild - 50 EP magicka Warden | Sigtric the Axe - 50 EP Dragonknight Crafter | Sigtric the Blade - 50 EP Lost Nightblade | Sigtric the Savage - 50 EP magicka Templar | Vibeka Shadowblade - 50 Ep Stealthy Ganky Nightblade |

I can say the same thing about pve. Why I need to do pve to get my PvP set? Why I had to do a Pve event like jester festival to get my bis PvP drink?

    and also:
why do we have to do PvE to get thepassives for undaunted that are needed in PvP.
