Is this a joke? LITERALLY untouched...nightblades nerfed;everything else as well... I never believed since the game came out what people would say how Zos loves their magsorc over any and everything. It is early still but from right now this is it? REALLY? Stam has caltrops for pve dps? I bet as well that they kept the crap caltrops morph and changed razor caltrops into the pve version lmfao...if they did not than good job..?? I will enjoy eso for now.

It's really simple, either you nerf sustain for all classes or you don't need sustain. The fact that shields were left untouched and sorcs in general untouched is a freakin insult

Not nerfing Bastion while nerfing Hardy, Elemental Defender, and Quick Recovery is going to cause an even larger divide between Stamina classes and the currently OP shield stacking MagSorc. You guys need to look at the harder end game PvE activities like Trials and vMA as well as talk to top PvP'ers and see exactly why EVERYONE is rolling Magicka classes now instead of Stamina.

Stamina DK and Stamina Templar are the two hardest classes in the game to play end game content with and Templar especially has been getting the short end of the stick for a long time with it being the lowest end game DPS class in the game and now you just screwed them even further with the removal of major mending, one of the only advantages of being on a Stamplar.

I just see a whole bunch of nerfs to stamina classes that were completely unwarranted and absolutely nothing done to balance MagSorc dominating both PvE and PvP. Do you guys even play this game at all?

Resources tapped out quickly as skill costs were increased and the CP cost reduction is gone... this would make pve extremely difficult overall. Regeneration is also cut down by a large amount, making even more difficult to maintain resources.

I recommend having separate buffs/debuffs between pve and pvp. PVE seems heavily hit by the current changes made.

You can't nerf wrobel favorite class but ruin the game for everyone else.

Ridiculous. Wrobel nerfed Sorcs for 2 years straight while buffing NBs. Now they spent the last 6 months buffing DKs and Temps while still ignoring Sorcs except to cut our Overload ultimate in half! The only actual buffs we've seen since the game LAUNCHED have been to pets.... PETS!

All you guys saying Magicka Sorcs are unaffected. We are getting hit like a truck with new resource management. Losing 16% magicka cost reduction from Champion Points and another 5% from Light Armor will require changes to the builds. We'll get out of magicka much faster. You either play full damage and run away when you're oom or play with sustain and reduce your dmg significantly. In the end, it all falls down to the rebalance with the other classes.

So, I'm not happy with the changes. In fact I think this is straight up the worst patch in this games history.

In Orsinium I was happy. In TG, I was happy. DB I got worried, but it ended up being a good thing. But ever since One Tamriel, it's got worse, and worse, and worse.

We told you, in general, back when the Warlord and Magician changes were leaked, that nerfing sustain when you built the game around DPS was a bad idea. We told you, that undermining the very fabric of your game would drive people away. We told you, ZOS, that when you did this, many of us would be done.

You didn't lisen. In fact, you went the extra mile, litterally You nerfed sustain in every, single aspect, completely vindicating everyone who started preping to run away.

You didn't lisen. You never do. I'm re-downloading the PTS to see just how bad it is, but I dont advise people to wait that long. Start cancling subs and looking for different games, folks. Start lookin' and dont stop.

    Class balance? W H A T

I am just curious, do the devs even look on the pve group trial leaderboards? Nightblades are practically nonexistent on NA live trial leaderboards right now, and with the heavy nerfs to sustain in general and NBs' class based sustain in particular, you are going to force all but the most determined NBs out of PVE raiding completely.

    What class balance?

Magsorcs are already the go-to class for both PvE high DPS and PvP damage and survivability.

Last patch you tried to change one of their skills, and the outroar made you backtrack and even buff the skill a little.

This patch you gut Templars and DKs, yet leave the dominance of shieldstacking high survivability and high damage magsorcs (and for that matter, stamsorcs too) completely untouched.

I mean, what the actual heck?

DKs had a nerf in Battle Roar, nerf in Igneous Shield to the point of it being actually useless in a PvP environment, nerf in Helping Hands, nerf in blocking, and nerf in Talons rooting.
Meanwhile, magsorc is suffering no nerfs whatsoever - apart from the CP changes that affect all classes equally.

Did you not see how magsorcs already own DPS in PvE? How the magsorc and pets deal more DPS from range than the magDK does in melee?

Did you not see how PvP is entirely dominated by immortal magsorcs covered in shields and eternal sustain? A sustain that will not be affected in this patch, while nerfing DK sustain through the ground?

Covering yourself in heavy armor and spec'ing for block was literally the only DK defense in PvP - now you've massively ruined that while leaving the high damage/high survivability/high sustain of the sorcs go unnoticed.
Where exactly is the drawback of being a sorc these days? There is none!

Have you considered changing the nightblade Master Assassin passive to something else?

You nerfed sneak attacks crit damage and stuff like stygian set in what appears to be an attempt to increase the TTK on ganking/stealth builds and provide more counterplay (which IMO is a good thing), but you still try to pigeonhole nightblade into that role via passives.

In pve, sneak attacking a high health target like a world boss will barely make a difference, and if the target has a low ammount of max health he probably would have died anyways even if you didn't had the Master Assassin passive.

Changing the crit damage stuff in the passives to a long duration heavy DoT that applies on a stealth/invis attack would bypass the crit issue and make they damage buff from the passive more consistent and helps with soften PvP ganks by giving the opponent time to respond with HoT or purge. It also still fits the flavor of the NB who lore wise were poison masters.

    Heavy isn't the issue.

Hell BOL being as strong as it is isn't even the issue.

BOL being a 28 meter find-the-lowest-hp-dude-who-made-mistakes-and-heal-him-to-full-whilst-faced-the-completely-opposite-direction is the issue. AKA smart heal. Nerfing BOL to have a conal search pattern instead of a massive giant circular radius would be the proper fix for BOL spamming magplars. This is why BOL has invalidated other magicka heals in PVP - because the skill literally takes ZERO tactical or situational awareness to utilize. Just button mash and heal the right people.

    THANK YOU

Now if only they would listen to anything we say about PVE dps... AWWWWW DUDE THEM CALTROPS THOUGH!!! STAMINA SHOULD EASILY BE ABLE TO COMPETE IN PVE NOW!

hey they did give us what we were lacking most. A solid AoE DoT. Sadly the fact that it has to be applied 3 times per 30 seconds has entirely nullified the 75% damage buff. So the single target DPS ain't changing.

I really like the Patch Notes with the sustain changes. No one tested stuff yet and all people start complaining just wait some days.

Also many people are thinking magsorcs are OP. Just wait how they sustain with these changes. When they use staff i think they will have problems with magicka. But let´s just wait some days then we will see what these changes look like.
    Cheers guys.

Magicka Dragonknight abilities are seriously expensive.

Only burning embers, engulfing flames, whip and flames of oblivion are cheap.

Chains, Armour, dragon blood, talons, reflect, deep breath, stone fist, molten etc are costing 2.9K-3.8K magicka.....

mDKs always had the most expensive costing skills, sure the spammable is cheap but its damage is average, other classes spammable (or signature skills) hit much harder.

Also mDKs still have the most expensive ultimate, and with the nerf to battleroar.

As a "pressure" class, you seriously need to rethink this. If you wish the mDk to run around without burst skills, dots and pressure, then you need to seriously buff the damage of the dots and nerf the spammable IMO.

Since Wrothgar DLC mDKs have been using the same skills and rotation, just kept accepting the massive nerfs since imperial city update. Just recently they received 5% damage increase from a spammable but a 5% nerf of standard of might and finally a fixed self heal that was bugged for over a year and a half.

The mDK is no where near being a "pressure" build. Only reason they are needed in trails is because of the chains and engulfing flames. AOEs are useless since mSorcs and mTemplars can and will out dps the mDK, and the same for single target, the mDK has to work extra hard in melee to reach decent numbers.

in PvP this will not work at all, due to the fact that both engulfing and burning embers damage combined will not be a threat to anyone, it will be outbursted by....everything magicka/stamina. mDks in pvp have been running the same boring rotation, thats talons, petrify, whip whip, and repeat, Burning embers is used only as a melee burst heal. Reflect is still buggy as hell and does not work 50% of the time, and its sad to see everyone gaining acess to 1H and Shield ultimate that reflects ALL projectiles for 6 seconds AND block everything at no cost for 100 ulti. Building 100 ulti in cyordiil is easy, very easy, yet the mDK has the ability thats bugged out and can only reflect 4 projectiles in 4 seconds.

You should rethink the mDK in my opinion completely. if you truely wish to have a pressure class without mobility or execute running around in light amour, then make the dots hit harder, much harder, and reduce the damage of the spammables. That way mDks could be much more viable in pvp and pve. It is a DOT class afterall isnt it? Skills cost was too much, ulti cost is super high, melee class with little defences, burst does not apply to the mDk so make the DOTs counter this, no execute and no mobility. Running around in malstrom arena as a mDK with force pulse...you basically play like a very bad Sorcerer.

Flames of oblivion needs to be redesigned, that floating ball of fire randomly hitting any target is silly, either make it target focused or changed it back to its original aoe.

There is a lot more issues with the Dk class that need to be looked at (not buffed, tweaked) due to how dramatically the game has changed, but there are already countless threads about this, and yet here we are saying the same thing we have been saying for the past 16+ months now.
mDKs still need a lot of love!

^Just give it back to us. No one agreed with this change, even the people that hate Magplars think this change was unnecessary. Recently I asked a NB Streamer to play with Fear to simulate Magplars without Blazing Spear. He lasted 10 mins then admitted that he needed fear and magplars needed Blazing Spear to stun again.
Please don't say that Aurora Javelin, Toppling Charge, and Luminous are reliable stuns

So I'm trying to figure out the numbers for CP star allocation and it's actual increase in single target damage with this coming patch.

In PvP elemental and physical damage will be unchanged due to reduction to 15% on both sides... But this is totally unaccounting the fact that we are seeing around a 15% or more direct target damage increase depending on defensive CP allocation.

I'll put on a positive note that this is an indirect "nerf" to damage shields because where most players will put points into Hardy, ele defender, ironclad, and a bit into resistant, anyone who runs damage shields are forced into adding points into bastion into the mix, lowering all 5 stars slightly.

That being said the "skill gap" into CP allocation is going to be real next update. Glad I'm good with math and up to date on changes. Because players that aren't are going to get slammed trying to put 100 points into anything.

I can't test things on PTS because I'm a console player, but so far I like the CP changes. And I really hope it help combats the stack full damage or gtfo meta in PvP.

Just here to comment on major mending change for dragonknights - major mending buff lasting only while the shield holds is really short, it's basically less than 1 second in majority of combat situations. I believe it would be better if it lasted for at least 4 guaranteed seconds.

yeah, on PC EU its same

for example HRC leaderboards, almost 600 ranks taken in overall while its only 50 NBs and 215 sorcs
vMoL for maybe 430 rank ar only 30NBs
vDSA, almost 300 rank and only 20 NBs in it

ad with this patch is just screwing NBs more but in additiona rest classes except sorcs

now sorcs will be as 60% overal trial leaderboards and maybe 20% wardens as support (tank, healer) and some dps and rest 20% leaderboards will be rest 3 screwed classes

They always tease us so hard when they release patch notes without any detailed explanation. No, the ones in patch notes don't count - not detailed at all. Constitution nerf makes me concerned, I do believe it needs to stay at least at 1k resources (each) in 7 heavy (maybe the cooldown should be increased instead). Why 42%?

I'm happy about the overall changes. They're getting rid of the annoying parts of the game. I like the changes to heavy armour. I like the changes to Breath of Life.

    However, here's my issues:
    1) Why do you completely gut Templars? The whole point of having a Templar in group was 1] Shards 2] Repentance 3] Strong heals 4] Necrotic Orbs(In some cases).

What you can do: Lower the stamina-return on Repentance. But don't take it away completely. Make the 4k stamina into 1,5k per dead corpse or even 1k per dead corpse. Just do not take it away entierly.
You remove our entire reason to stay in a group.

Revert the changes to synergies. Let Orbs & shards be two different, that restores magicka / stamina respectively. The whole point of having a Templar in a group is to help our teammates sustain. Now we can't do any of those things.
    ---
I can live with the Major mending change, I can live with the BoL change, 'cus I love it. But why do you take away everything else that matters to a Templar? x.x

I'm jst trying to find a reason. Please help me, Zenimax!
    ---

Sustain.... Don't go overboard with it. Revert the changes to Siphoning & revert he change to armour. At least a tiny bit. Just a tiny bit of sustain back would be nice. And pleasedon't reward the light attack spammers(as LAs already proc poisons).
