Dps test - llambris vs nerien'eth

So on my magsorc
5 scathing
3 infallible
Vma inferno front bar
Vma lightening back bar
With llambris i pushed 32-33k dps
With nerien'eth i did almost 36 dps
I was solo so i had to use elements for debuff and i also didnt have a execute on my bar i ran inner light on both bars because i didnt have spell power potions so i used magicka ones.
Anyway point is why dont people run more nerien'eth?
Wish i knew how to upload videos from my xbox to here but ya jw why its not used. Does it lack aoe or something

✭Pretty much cause Nerien'eth only procs from direct attacks, so you HAVE to be using force pulse as spamable (counts as 3 direct damage attacks).PvP Defensive Set Comparison

Im on xbox you can do that? And plus it doesnt actually show my dps it shows my time and i know a guildy who tells me what the timer equals out to in dps. I killed it in 1min 50 seconds

✭✭✭✭✭Well, you are not a robot to pump out the exact same rotation every time. A little mistake here, a missed light attack there and your numbers might differ significantly even with the same build. Doing it once with one build and once with another gives you nothing. To make any viable conclusions you have to try each of them several times and at least count the average (ideally you should use fancy statistics but math is hard) So basically you haven't proved anything with your test.
And as Nifty mentioned, we have a lot of fancy addons on PC, which give us a lot more information about our rotation and impact of each source of damage on DPS. And according to those numbers Ilambris is simply better.2 -

✭You can't compare small test perimeters and expect to get accurate results, especially since you don't have real number values that show the potency and contributing %'s of each setup.
Just because you change gear, doesn't mean that's the cause for greater or lesser DPS. You can even do multiple tests with the same gear and get great deviations based on proc chances and human error. If you want to see which is actually better, you'll have to either have someone with addons and a good understanding of mathematics, or do a large amount of tests with each, and find the average.
That being said, Ilambris will outperform Nerien'eth comparing both sets in terms of contributing DPS. While Nerien'eth's proc damage *might* sometimes beat Ilambris (since we're not a sorc with a hearty balance of Flame and Shock damage to proc both), overall it will do less since its 1 piece is Health instead of Magicka.Old member of The Order of Mundus, Mostly Harmless, Hostile, and Genesis Elite. If you are doing target skeleton it should show your dps in chat. Atleast it does for me on xbox.
Edit: just for clarification it only shows your dps as a whole. It won't break anything down or show what percent of damage came from where.Edited by alexkdd99 on April 17, 2017 1:29AM0 -

If you did 3 mil dummy, 1 min 50 sec is: 27.2 DPS
3 mill in 1 min 30 sec is: 30k.
I'm on console too and it says the number of your DPS as well as the time.Xbox one EU
