Thats becasue the Trailer was able to actually give us a better look at what Tamriel might look like if it existed. Where as with time constraints and resource limits of building a video game and the limitations of rendering everything has kept both Bethesda and ZOS from actually building a game world that would reflect the actual sise of Tamriel.
Some fans of the series speculate that if Nirn was a real place that to traverse between two cities like Whiterun and Winterhold for instance. It would take 5 days on horseback.
Can you imagine a game with that sort of size and play time commitment? To take 5 days to travel between locations?
You mean like the separate pve instance of Cyrodiil that has come up before?
Every time the pvpers have a fit because they wouldn't have pve players to gank. Despite the fact that people have pointed out that players who go there for pve stuff aren't contributing to the war at all, but *do* contribute to the population caps. Might be a touch of "if there is a pve cyrodiil many players wouldn't go to the pvp one" involved too. No one could "spy" because there would be no pvp going on at all.
And while there could be a pve instance of cyrodiil, there could be a open world instance of the world for those people who like to kill everyone everywhere all the time, even their own faction.
Only people who wanted to be involved with either version would choose to go there. No one would have to worry about flags or toggles. If you pick the open world pvp you know what you're getting into. Likewise people who want to explore and do the pve stuff could do that too.
