Minor resistance buffs for such a short period of time are pointless (especially seeming you are immediately stunning your opponent). Guaranteed critical is huge, whether it be an opener or before dropping an ult.

Agreed. Dark Cloak used to be a good morph, but it got nerfed really hard a couple patches ago.
Yeah but if possible to ( Idk if bc I'm still learning this game ) crit vigor, that would be super helpful for the defensive side.The_Outsider wrote: »I still run Dark Cloak over Disguise on my Stam NB. He's not your typical medium roll monkey though. He's got ~45% crit, and a lot of mitigation (29k resists on Bow bar) while retaining his damage dealer status. I consider the 8% damage reduction to be more valuable than a guaranteed crit because I use Cloak for defensive play only, the benefit of Disguise is often negated because I'm going to crit half the time anyway, and the guaranteed crit is often consumed by something other than your intended Surprise Attack or full Heavy attack.
I'm not sure if it's possible, though by the phrasing of the tooltip I'd guess not: "Your next attack...will crit..." I trust someone will correct me if I'm wrong, lol. That said, even if it is able to crit a Vigor heal, you simply have no reliable way to make sure that happens. It's the next damaging (or possibly heal) tick to happen after cast, so even if you do absolutely nothing but Vigor after casting, the guaranteed crit could still be consumed by a DoT, or even a Rally tick. And even IF you manage to get the crit on the attack that you want it, you still would have already crit half the time anyway (cause weapon crit does effect attacks and vigor/rally heal).SameMeteor26 wrote: »Yeah but if possible to ( Idk if bc I'm still learning this game ) crit vigor, that would be super helpful for the defensive side.The_Outsider wrote: »I still run Dark Cloak over Disguise on my Stam NB. So if it is possible, I think that's why most would use it.
