And to get the 400 whatever skill points? The achievements? The traits and motifs? I like to play on my main character.
Class change please.

In fact, the last info we have is them saying that this is something they don't intend to do.
Now, they might perhaps change their mind about this with the introduction of a new class coming... but they might not.
We have heard they intend on selling two more character slots with Morrowind, so the signs point to "not"...
However... a lot of people have spent a lot of time on a lot of characters, and might feel mighty vexed about having to make characters 13 and 14 just to enjoy the warden class... so... who knows, they might indeed at some point add a class change service to the crown store. But at this point in time, that is only wishful thinking on our parts...

This would be fair, imo

Yeah and then people regret they changed it and come here to the forums to complain. No thanks. Just level the new char.
They make plans. Plans change over time.MythicEmperor wrote: »If they never do things they intend to do, they will certainly do things they never intend to do!
Unlikely. IF they pay their code-jockeys to spend time coding a class change function, they'll want to see some profit from it. So it will be about as free as a free race change when they tinker with the passives... (seen one of those yet? Nope? That's what I thought...cyclonus11 wrote: »I'd like to see them give a class change token each time they add a new class, but you get only ONE per account, and you cannot buy them from the Crown Store.
I also hope character class change doesnt ever come to ESO...
I still dont get why people want an option to pay for not playing the game.
One of the best parts of this game is getting an achievement with a new char. Besides it makes no sense since everytime they release a new class everyone will have the ability to make this new class an instant high level.... Without any trouble at all.
People who wants this option are usually the ones that play single player games with god mode option on..... Senseless

If class change was a thing you would most likely have to level all the skills for the warden.TheShadowScout wrote: »However... a lot of people have spent a lot of time on a lot of characters, and might feel mighty vexed about having to make characters 13 and 14 just to enjoy the warden class... so... who knows, they might indeed at some point add a class change service to the crown store. I really do hope they come up with class change possibility. Not very happy on buying new slot and starting new char to grind to 50 so I can try out the Warden.
Samething as grinding it up to 50, no?
I wouldn't mind that, as long as I keep my store motif that isn't up for sale anymore and my event achievement titles that also can't be gotten anymore.
A class change service exclusive to the new class every time a new class is released would be the ideal way to implement it. Put a big red warning that the change is permanent and knock the class skills back to zero.
It shouldn't be much harder than race change, since race change already affects a skill line (granted, only a passive skill line, but still).
So what I'm getting from everybody on this thread, is that it's a great idea to make new toons and do the same content for the second, third, fourth, and fifth time, or however many times you wanna make a new toon.
Because that makes total sense. It's a cheap cop-out on Zen's part. They know people want to try other classes, but forcing them to do everything all over again keeps them (supposedly) in the game longer. I'm honestly surprised they're not charging for class changes already.
Class changes aren't a new thing, and I've yet to see that function destroy an MMO. If anything, giving people the freedom to class swap would drastically highlight what classes are falling short since they obviously don't listen to anyone.

No such thing when the choice was never presented to us to begin with. Quite the opposite, ZOS said until very recently that they had no plans to add new classes, and here we are.Taleof2Cities wrote: »Not having a class change means players are held responsible for their in-game choices.
I like that.

In the end Zos would make more from selli extra slots, riding lessons and such. Most know they can level up a new character in days if not hours.
