It was a no brainer this was going to happen at some point and of course people are a bit peeved and in a lot of cases rightly so. The smart ones used their crowns wisely and purchased the "dlc" they cared about because they could see this coming with crown crates and rising mount/vanity item costs.
TBH all I can hope for now is that this company does not butcher the nostalgia of Morrowind with a sub par unfinished dlc/expansion whatever the hell you wish to call it because the fallout from that would just be epic.
If they screw up Morrowind people will still buy it / play it.
If they don't screw it up people will still complain.
This forum is just meant for complaining I've noticed lol.
Bad changes happen regularly from it. I just hope the content that gets released is actually difficult.
Everyone on here complains yet they never leave the game.
I'm guessing they will release additional "DLC" that's for the area in Morrowind afterwards. It makes sense from a game play / business perspective. If you wanna continue to play new content you would have to buy Morrowind.
Edit: Still a little surprised they would compromise the trust of all their subscribers by doing this though.
I never subscribed and never will. Saved a ton of money never subscribing + bought all the content separate.

Yep, the forums typically represent the player base quite inaccurately. The majority of players just play the game, enjoy it, and don't even think about the forums. The people that are here are either the ones that get upset and love complaining all the time, or the people that enjoy watching it happen (like me)

Interesting. Kindly explain how buying DLC separately and a) not with free crowns given every month of subscription or b) not purchasing DLC at all but using it "for free" with the subscription has saved you money.

People subscribed on the promise that we would get quarterly DLC.
We havent. Instead, some of that time, and some of that subscription money, has gone to make this special "DLC" that cannot be purchased in the same way by the people that helped pay for it.
If you don't see that as morally bankrupt your compass is broken.

Your question was phrased oddly.
I've been playing for about 2 years.
24 x $15 = $360
No way I came near that even with purchasing mounts on the side. They have sales on crowns in which they are half price...
With the money I saved I think I'm gonna buy the physical Collectors Edition of Morrowind.
There are people that said they have been subbed for 3 years.... That would work out to $540.

The question is extremely clear, yet I said nothing about purchasing mounts or other trinkets such as that. I actually only mentioned DLC. Also, purchasing six month or yearly ESO subscriptions comes with a very nice discount, so your math is a bit off.

This included DLC, Mounts, Buying the gold edition for other people on steam and I still saved money from not being subbed.
How many freaking threads do you people think we have to start on this?
They are charging for the Xpac, you dont get it for free with ESO+. Deal with it or dont, your choice.
Ive subbed since the beginning of the game. I will buy the expansion and Ill keep subbing.
I do not feel like I should get it for free and I dont feel that I should be refunded my ESO+ because I did get something from it with not having to buy the DLCs, the crowns I get every month and the crafting bag.
The people that do the work on this game have a salary that needs to get paid or we wont have any more DLC, Expacs or anything else to argue about. Bethesda is a business, not a charity.
WoW has always had a sub AND charged for expansions. This is not new and its not shocking.

So yeah, I am still getting what I paid for plus some nice bonuses.
I also plan to buy Morrowind and keep my sub.
You buy crowns sometimes I guess but you don't get the craft bag, so you get to deal with the headache of bank space management.
I don't get why people are so upset, you get 1500 Crowns (15$ by itself) along with craft bag, 10% boost, and content, and also feel the need to get any new content for free right on the dot.

Please return your crafting bag and colour customizing of costumes mr. Principle. Because none were there on that image you quote.

I'll be on FF14, paying for the Stormblood expansion instead.

That's cool personally I could never take floating duck things with Balloons seriously, and most of the western community is something out of Jpop fun time now
