    Last night I was reminded of one of the most annoying things people do-
    pull the boss to where their health resets. :angry:
    One idiot was standing in the doorway of the tribunes folly boss room, spamming heals and then would back all the way up in the hallway when he was attacked, resetting the boss...he did this twice and probably would've kept doing it had a tank not showed up to taunt the boss.

    I love when there are a couple of people fighting a world boss, and one lowbie realizes he's about to get rekt so he thinks running away is a good choice :|

    The extremely....slow.......fallllll........downnnn............aaaaa..............cliffsiiiiiiiide. Especially when it's about one meter down.

    and you hope no one saw you do it cuz its kind of embarrassing lol.

    Argonian voices

    (except for that one near the Bal Foyen guild merchant - I wish they all sounded like him! :D )

    I like the ones that sound like Slingblade :)

    Oh man, so much this.

    Whaaaaa? Queen Ayrenn is by far the most logical and professional of the 3 alliance leaders, and actually has the best quest line (in regards to lore). As for "her cat", Razum-Dar nails you out of tons of situations and is always there to lend a helping hand. I can't the same about any of the other help from other alliances. Plus! He was willing to sacrifice himself. C'mon now. How you gonna hate on that Khajiit? He's cool peoples.

    Nearly the whole alliance quest line is dedicated to her naivety and incapability to control her own people who will always be racist supremacists. She herself looks down on other races, thinking they need her "guidance".The quests are always someone turning on Ayrenn and every interaction with her makes me feel like some bootlicker with no sense of self respect. The terrain is mostly all jungle / mountains and frustrating to traverse and except for Khajiit the lore and culture doesn't interest me one bit.

    Razum-dar tries too hard to be funny or says things like "We are the Queen's Eyes. We do the tasks that must be done, even if it means getting hit on the head. Killing those who do not deserve it." which make him a despicable creature.

    What are some of the things you all see in-game that make you cringe?

    For me it's:
    • Crystal Fragments "hard-casting" Sorcerers.
    • Nightblades who spam Surprise Attack constantly.
    • Magicka-based variants of classes outside of Templar who utilize DW.
    • People who constantly talk about "meta builds" and utilize them, but have absolutely no clue behind the build'a mechanics.

    how do you know they are crystal frag hard casting? you do realize crystal frags is a morph right? great for single target, but in some sorcs build more for crystal blast to do more aoe d.

    @AzuraKin ...Crystal Blast? What? I'll be honest with you. And sincere as well. I've been playing ESO since early beta. I've seen tons upon tons of obscure builds, and strange play-styles. But not once. Have I EVER seen anyone use the other morph. It has always been C-Frags. Always. Whether it was used by high levels, or lowbies starting off. It was ALWAYS C-Frags. If you've seen someone else use the other morph, or if you've done so yourself — then kudos to you. For I have never seen or heard of anyone doing so.

    In three years, I've seen blast once, from a rando in a Wrothgar delve.

    I cringe everytime I hear the term "meta". Not only because using the word "meta" when talking about 'meta builds' is stupid - because the word doesn't even remotely have anything to do with the way it's used. But also because it proves how people are incapable and need to exploit overpowered mechanics/compositions/etc to perform well - not just in ESO, but in many games.

    Nope, not me. I'm building a Thief/Assassin that focus on looting and single-target damage.

    Lol, I decided to rank up that morph once. I like how it looks compared to Crystal Fragments. But that's probably just because we rarely see it so it's still got that "new and exciting" feel. They should balance out those 2 Morphs, similarly to what they done with Wrecking Blow.

    Last night, other dps uses 2-hander and bow through all of COA1.

    Easy dungeon, and tank and healer were helping dps too. Didn't take too long, but hearing the 2H skills go off made me cringe a little. It was like a reminder not to get lazy with ac & rotations on mobs if I wanted it to be over quick - because it was mostly on me.

Like ones who roll up a Wood Elf in order to play a breed of Khajiit not seen in game since 1994, or pretend to be a member of House Telvanni in good standing, or any number of other racial options that just simply don't exist in game.

    I really don't care about that, personally. You can give your character whatever backstory you like. That's what the RP in RPG is all about after all. It's when they go into the long, drawn out and overly dramatic exposition of their character's entire life story that I just kinda go "I'm out."

    Seriously, there is such a thing as overdoing it. I stumbled onto some vampire RPers discussing how they were turned one day down in an outlaw refuge, telling stories (badly I might add) that would rival the tales of King Arthur and the Lady of the Lake.

    @Glurin, To be fair, the thread is, "things that make you cringe." I understand the impulse to create a unique character. I don't have a problem with that. It's when that desire overrides the setting's lore in fundamental ways, or requires your character to be someone that cannot actually exist under the rules provided by the game, that I draw the line, and cringe.

    There are exceptions. I've seen some legitimately good Maomer approximations. But, at the same time, I've also seen RPers that rolled up a woodelf and claimed to be an Ohmes breed Khajiit. Which... ugh, no. Also an RPer claiming to be a werebear (no lycanthropy buff present).

    Those make me cringe.

    You can legitimately tank most content on a magsorc using a destruction staff (especially soon, with ice staves). So long as you have inner fire, lol. Not like it's difficult with shield stacking, heavy armor, and lots of sustain. Don't think I'd try to tank some of the harder vet dungeons doing it, but there's really no issue with non-standard tanks in normals or easier vets.

    proc = programmed random occurence

    It's a general MMO slang term and exists since there have been MMOs.

    Bob = a name used to personify an imaginary person, usually made up on the spur of the moment

    A term not just used in MMOs, but elsewhere too.

    bite = Vampire/Werwolf bite.

    This is pretty ESO related only, but I think it's pretty self explaining.

    Although english isn't my native language, I have encountered no issues at all to get a grasp for the meaning of those terms. As a last choice there is still the urban dictionary. We live in the era of the internet, google is your friend.

    Rotation... Bar swap... I mess it up all the time, and I've been playing for 2 years on and off. I can't even keep buffs on a single bar up 100% of the time. Don't get me wrong i still push out a decent dps in vet dungeons. 20-40k depending on situation, and how much you have to avoid red circles and stuff. Just the word rotation make me cringe...

    proc = programmed random occurence

    I could have sworn that "proc" was just short for procedural, as in a procedure that occurs when triggered.

    No, no. It's short for "proclamation". As in "I proclaim that you shall now take 10,000 poison damage." :p

    You're all wrong. It stands for People's Republic of China.

    I want to say I'm proud of @Ch4mpTW for managing to create a quite amusing, nontoxic, free of 'bruhs' or cringe like that thread.

    Time off the forums did you well man.

    vMSA, round 5, the ice platforms.

    In most places you can run back from the frozen lake to them.

    In some spots, though, you have to jump, or else you just get stuck.

    This has seriously impaired my mental sanity.
