Claiming a Keep for Guilds 50+ Members Only

Claiming a Keep or Resource should only be allowed for guilds with 50+ members, just like getting a guild trader.

Allowing players, who create a guild (with only 1 person) just to send a message, show off, brag, or taunt by making the name of the guild humorous or offensive should be removed.

There are strong, large PVP guilds that do not care to bid for a guild trader. But claiming the keep or resource allows the Guild Store to sell items. Whenever I enter a keep, I search the items in the guild store of the guild that claimed it.

I've claimed a keep with a guild I created, but had no members.

    Noooooooooo! :D The "Clairebears" have held Rayles for two weeks straight. As president, CEO, and only member we (the royal we, that is) have defended it consistently. Although...with a little assistance, I could probably get our numbers up. ;)

    I'd like to see ZOS make keep claims matter to the campaign or to PvP in actual PvP-related ways.



    Guild creation should have 3 "tags" PvE, PvP & Trading. PvE "tagged" guilds would be the general Dungeons, Trials, RP ETC, Trading guilds are self explanatory but PvP tagged guilds would make Cyrodiil more interesting.

    Guilds tagged as PvP & Trading can claim keeps in Cyrodiil. What would be really cool is if the game was able to track and store information related to PvP GvG fights in Cyrodiil.

    For the sake of an example (Don't take this seriously) open field fight between VE & Haxus, both are tagged as a PvP guild, Haxus walks away with a wipe on VE (Killing 95% of group members) the system would register 1-0 on Haxus' record. Now, Haxus goes to claim Brindle, the long proclaimed DC home keep. VE decides to go take their home keep back and because the system has registered a history that will build and rank rivalries between opposing guilds*, there will be some type of reward/incentive (NOT AP) to capture that keep that was claimed.

    I can already tell there will be numerous problems to a system like this [Bringing multiple raids to fuel one guild's rivalry, 95% of small guild groups might be 2 members and multiple resses etc] but this is just an idea that I thought would be cool to bring Guild V Guild PvP to a "competitive" level.

    I use the term competitive loosely, as this meta does not promote competitive group play.

    *You gain alliance points in addition to Guild Points that will be based on the amount of allied players in a certain radius vs enemies within a certain radius

    * Guild points can be used to unlock features for PvP guilds, including updated tabard design, ability to place tabards on Siege Weapons instead of Alliance banner, a mount tabard etc.

    *Guilds would be ranked based on guild points earned within a certain period [1 week for ex] and would be given a score at the end of the campaign Cycle, that score will be used to create a monthly or cyclic rank of PvP guilds in game, with rewards based on final position at end of month/cycle of scoring for PvP guild rank.

    lower that to 15-20 members and sure. there are quite a few actual PvP guilds that don't have 50+ members (preference for keeping guilds small) but do take things and should be able to claim them.

    at any rate i don't really mind troll takes. they can be kinda funny.

    Way to make stuff way more complicated than it needs to be, while ignoring more pressing issues like gap closing into magicka DK/NB hell or why sometimes your siege gets bugged out and no one can use it.

    Troll guild claims can be funny and dynamic. Meanwhile, I'm not sure there are 6 pvp guilds on each faction that have 50+ members on Haderus or Azuras, and those that do don't tend to be filled with members who wanted a trade guild. So you still won't be shopping there.

    This seems like first world PVP problems, given the multitude of other frustrations that have more direct impact on game play.

    Agreed for keeps. Probably not necessary for resources, as it allows smaller guilds to have a bit of a presence without it being a nuisance (I don't go looking for guild stores at resources, but at keeps they're easy to get to, so should always have a trader; if not, you're blocking out places for a useful war store). If resources were to have a restriction, it could be 10, the same as a guild bank.

    I have another idea.

    2 Steps:

    1. All gained AP's from guild members will gathered into guild AP pool. Only members with active guild tabard gather for the guild (So you must decide for which guild you gather).
    2. Holding a keep or ressource will cost guild AP. Higher leveled keeps and ressources will cost more guild AP

    Additional mechanics you can have:
    - Upgrade keep with guild AP's
    - Add crafting stations inside of keep
    - Add fixed defense sieges into keep
    ...

    Some of them have been great. Not everyone in PVP is going to put a guild trader at a keep. Why take some of the humor out of what is often an incredibly salty experience?

    Either take a new keep and claim it, or click quicker ;) This is the least of your worries in PVP.

    Stronger keeps than unclaimed. So claimed keep with maximum upgrades are expensive and the guild must be active in pvp, but on the other side this keep is much harder to siege.

    Everyone crys about the guild stores on the guilds in PVP. They ain't claiming hoping to sell, they claim to help keep level faster (if all three resources are claimed the keep levels faster 10%) or if you def a keep your guild owns you get a little more AP. If you want a good trader with items go to the stalls in PVE

    Cyrodiil is a war zone, not a shopping mall.
    Go do your shopping in Rawl'kha like everybody else, and if you want to sell items in a guild store, join a trading guild, preferably one with a guild trader in Rawl'kha.
