Even on a tank, I've found it's only worth it if you're using them on all 8 pieces.

If you're running trials or vet dungeons you're probably not running a hybrid build. It might be possible to make a good hybrid build, but I'm not aware of anyone succeeding with the current state of the game.
If you have a "main resource," at all, then no, pass on these. If you don't... then go wild.
Actually, these might also be very good for tanks. I don't run any at endgame, so I'm not used to thinking about those, but it's worth sticking out there as a possibility.

Basically this.
Tanking with a magika tank or a stam tank that uses a lot of magika they can be nice, especially a few more chain pulls. Certainly not required.
Magika tank gets more stamina which can be nice.

You are limiting yourself if you class yourself as magicka or stamina tank. Tanks need all 3 resources. I thought of myself as a stamina tank for a long time. But when I swapped over to 8 tri glyphs and tri food instead of having stam glyphs and stam HP food I was working way better. More chains, more talons, more igneous shields, and since more igneous shields more stamina and my sustainability became immensely better. If you go with Magicka or Stamina glyphs or even Health glyphs on your armor you are limiting yourself.

I think you may have misread what I posted or maybe splitting hairs a little to close to be worthwhile in the context of this thread or even replying to my post.
Maybe read again since I addressed your concern raised in what you quoted.
Thx, and enjoy the game.

Resistance is the most overrated stat as a tank. There are far better ways of getting mitigation.Giles.floydub17_ESO wrote: »paulsimonps wrote: »Giles.floydub17_ESO wrote: »starkerealm wrote: »If you're running a hybrid build, and not using Pelinal, then they're better than mixing all three enchants on your gear.

Just trying to say that tanks should not call themselves "Magicka Tank" or "Stamina Tank" its very limiting. I did the post describing my experience moving away from those labels. They are restricting and if you instead focus less on that label you can do more. Thou of course when it comes to tanking some think that simply holding block and having you team stay alive means that you are amazing but there is always room for improvement.
Agreed with @paulsimonps anyone who labels themselves as Magicka or Stamina tank is just doing it wrong. Tristat glyphs are amazing. I was playing around with attributes and got something like this the other day. Don't know if I want to keep these but damn the chains and igneous are amazing.Giles.floydub17_ESO wrote: »paulsimonps wrote: »WalksonGraves wrote: »I honestly don't see the point unless you really use a ton of off main stat utility skills. But there are only 4 types of tanks. Health (high health), Stam, Magika, and Hybrid.
It is in how they build but also changes how they tank. In each of the builds they should not have much issue with using chains and igneous for DKs since most tanks I know use the Atro. Granted, many good tanks that are not DKs and with some the choice is very different.
Believe me, have seen all types tank vet raids and they do just fine.
