Alliance War Horse has no options for upgrade display

That's entirely different. You can already buy a regular black, gray, beige horse seperate from this Alliance War horse.

It doesnt count because the entire body, neck and head are covered in a cloak and leather armor. Something otherwise unseen on mounts. The Elk mount resembles every other standard mount, cheap and affordable Crown Store Mount and all of the LTS including the Dro m'athra mount when it comes to bags and saddle.....except in this case there is no additional speed and stamina additions to the mount like all of the others listed above.

What is with all these people complaining about the price of COSMETIC stuff? You don't like the price? Don't buy it. ZOS charges whatever people will pay and they need to keep churning out stuff so the people with subs have reasons to dump their "free" crowns.

Don't get me wrong I love how the mount looks but is it worth 4500 crowns? HELL NO. Think about it. The Dro m'Athra mount had glowing skin, it's own summoning animation, it's own reskinned armor and it has that dope blue trail thing for 4000 (which at the time seemed like a lot).The Elk is a reskin of a horse, with no armor, no custom summoning effect no special idle animation and no fancy trail yet it costs 4500. I don't know who comes up with the pricing at ZOS but who ever it is, needs to be fired, pronto.

I dont understand the pricing.
As many others said, Dro-Mathra sench had special animation, glowing trail and visual effects. This elk looks more like regular wolves, lions, camels etc and unlike them it doesnt even have apperance options. And those mounts only cost 1800 crowns (or 2500 for a "limited" reskins)...

Greed I 100% agree with. The greed of ZOS lately makes me fearful of where they will go next. Also 4500 crowns... nothing says happy holidays like a incredibly overpriced offering. Laziness... not so much. They needed to be clear that this mount wasn't affected by riding levels. That really doesn't bother me as I don't think every mount must have this.

Yes it does. I was really laughing at your comment. The eyes are really dead looking. Even in game where the mount looks better. That and the mount looked at the camera when I took the screenshot.

As someone else pointed out the price for subbing didn't change with the addition of crowns so whether you agree or not the subscribers crowns are free crowns.

Yes, but before buy 2 play it was required to play the game. They were added to make the subscription have more value. They come with the $15 subscription price so I don't think they can be considered free.

Ah well people... I guess I'm not even surprised anymore. The amount of shady bs ZOS has pulled over the game's lifetime has made me lose any faith in honest business. Mind you, this *** started right at launch. Anyone remember the "free" first month where you had to pay up front for the month after that, to be able to play the game, even though the first month was supposed to be FREE!?!?!? That was already the first sign. Beta was also one big shady mess. No transparency at all.

With all due respect to real life zoological classifications... I don't remember anyone looking up for "echatere" in Wikipedia back when Wrothgar was released.
Regarding the elk, I think what we should care about is :
- what are these animals and how are they called in Tamriel in the 2nd era
- what is Santa Klaus using.
It is a mount related to a holiday event related to Christmas, in the Elder Scrolls lore.

Last night I saw the Elk in the store and when I saw the price I was absolutely disgusted and shocked.

Did not stop me from buying it though.

Heads up, the elk looks gorgeous in my opinion I love it, BUT its not worth the price of crowns you have to fork out for it, very very greedy....
