What is with all these people complaining about the price of COSMETIC stuff? You don't like the price? Don't buy it. ZOS charges whatever people will pay and they need to keep churning out stuff so the people with subs have reasons to dump their "free" crowns.

This Elk price wasn´t at all the christmas gift i wished from ZOSreally disappointed and losing some faith in them...
If a mount is 4500 crowns, what will be the price of the crown houses???? 20.000 crowns? 50.000 crowns?

There won't be a Crown Houses, only thing for houses which will be available through Crown Store will be decorating items. ZOS did not mention about stricte Crown Houses.

Thank you for sharing your feedback and concerns with us regarding the Great Elk mount. We do take your feedback into consideration for future Crown Store content releases. Because of its geometry and the fact that it already has adornment by default, this particular mount does not have an upgraded look for maxed out riding skills as some of our other mounts do. Some of our mounts will have this upgraded look, and some will not. In the future, we will do better at letting everyone know ahead of time which do and which don’t.

@The_Duke That's rather rude and ignorant lolIts also called an elk in some countriesElderscrollian wrote: »lol a that is not an elk, that is a deer!!! this is an elk

um no thats a moose lol
Well then those countries are wrong lol.
The elk, or wapiti (Cervus canadensis), is one of the largest species within the deer family, Cervidae, in the world, and one of the largest land mammals in North America and Eastern Asia. This animal should not be confused with the still larger moose (Alces alces) to which the name "elk" applies in British English and in reference to populations in Eurasia.
So actually the only reason you call it an Elk, is actually because the early European explorers thought that it looked kind of like their elk (a moose)Early European explorers in North America, who were familiar with the smaller red deer of Europe, thought that the larger North American animal resembled a moose, and consequently gave it the name elk, which is the common European name for moose. The word elk is related to the Latin alces, Old Norse elgr, Scandinavian elg/älg and German Elch, all of which refer to the animal known in North America as the moose.[8]

Ah you mean the countries which don't know what a Moose looks like? lol
They should have told us this before you buy it like the alliance war outfit you can't dye it but we were told all costumes for now on will be dyeable.

Crown Crates already proved that no, you don't take our feedback into consideration.

The Elk is more or less a copy of the Horse. I've seen how the elks in Wrothgar and various other places "ran" and they sorta glided elegantly through the fields, as an elk does in real life. Whilst this Elk sorta just runs exactly, EXACTLY like a horse.
Also when you press Spacebar, all mounts actually tend to have a unique movement, this one does EXACTLY like the horse.
It doesn't stand correct either, it stands exactly like a horse as well, and it doesn't walk like an elk either.
The biggest detail that sorta catches my eye, is not the fact that it is the only mount to have extremely small eyes (which, by the way, is not normal for a deer, elk or moose. They got big beautiful brown ones and this Elk has smaller eyes than the senches.)
It's the fact that when it runs, it sounds like it got horse shoes on. Exactly, you guessed it, like the horse.
I literally used 4500 crowns, which was money that was supposed to go to a cinema movie with my family that we planend since last year, which I can't get back now, to a mount that is literally a Horse. Even the head isn't shaped like an elks. I literally stood side by side with those in Wrothgar to "face my fears". This mount is an exact copy of the horse, only with a built in hat-rack. And I sorta expected it to be an elk.

Heads up, the elk looks gorgeous in my opinion I love it, BUT its not worth the price of crowns you have to fork out for it, very very greedy....

There will be crown houses. Check this thread and watch the video.

The 4500 crown price tag is all the warning anyone should need to stay the hell away from it in the first place. If you are stupid enough to spend $30 or more on digital crack then don't be surprised when your buyers remorse sets in.

Been an awful lot of miscommunication from you guys recently with crown store items. You forgot to mention that the Frostcaster motif came with 50 less mimic stones than the Grim Harlequinn motif, or that the New Life hoods and hats couldn't be dyed, the list goes on. At a certain point it begins to feel intentional.
Oh well.... how I love generalisations...andreasranasen wrote: »Capacity Upgrades gives you these extra saddle bags which no one in this game really likes the look of.
My advice for buying mounts (or basically anything in the crown store): Check it out on the PTS first, especially if it's something expensive. I thought about buying the camel, but after I tested it on PTS I decided otherwise.

You're part of the problem, then. Vent about the price here all you want -- all the ZOS bean counters see is the fact that you spent 4500 crowns on a freaking MOUNT. Even though you're disgusted with the price, you've encouraged them with your purchase to offer mounts for similar prices in future.
