See? Lore. Okay, so how about this:Agreed. There are things that I would love to buy, but it's simply not worth the money.
I, and many others, will make an exception, though, if they were to offer dragon pets / mounts.
I don't care for the lore. There are more things in this game that make no sense either, so why not make that exception too?
If lore's really that important:
"Necromancers attempted to revive dragons once more, and finally succeeded." Make a quest around it that people can purchase with crowns and the reward is a young dragon mount. One that's still too young to fly, but big enough to ride.
Just do it ZOS, and watch the river glow in gold.
There are no young dragons. They simply exist.
Dragons are basically gods. Unless you are a Dragonborn who knows how to shout in dragon language - there's no way you'd get to ride one.
The Vestige isn't dragonborn.
¯\_(ツ)_/¯

... Those were just for people who had not been receiving their monthly subscription Crowns, actually. Wasn't a gift. Although some of the accounts seem to have gotten mixed up.
I would not say "most people". In all my guilds and among all my friends, I only know one person who got any.
They want more for this plain, boring moose mount than the Dro'Mathra space panther?
ZOS, you've already created a prohibitive wealth gap that excludes the majority of loyal customers.
Why not just call it "Gambling Addicted Exclusive Attention Craving Whale Milking Online?"
Just throw this and a bunch of pay to win crap on the casino already and be done with us.
As long as their are personality types that NEED to constantly compare themselves to others, flaunting things they have that others don't in order to feel good about themselves, there will be greedy corporations taking advantage of their insecurities.

But oh no not at a price so high it could touch the very moons in the sky.
2,500 shiny coins would have been the limit for this one. Price too high and lose the sale yes.
Khajiit she does not look for or expect the bargains but she also knows that a hat rack should not cost as much as the entire city of Hews Bane.

None of them ever do. They all depend on your characters level in said things...

I've check ot on different characters. He looks the same on 60/60/60 character and 0/0/0 charachter - same armor, same bags.

Specifically: the idea that a higher price means less will be in the game. That's proven not to be accurate.
The idea that at least it's not in crown crates. Crown crates are a terrible way to offer paid content regardless of type
I have absolutely no issue with ZOS charging for stuff. I have a specific issue with the chosen price points in context to the actual game, dlc and what isn't available. I'd even thrown in ESO plus cost because the actual concept behind ESO plus crowns are to give players who choose to sub the opportunity to save crowns and buy either cosmetic things or consumables.
Here's the reality of it all.
1500 crowns is below ALL of that. So while you can argue that a player should save up crowns....that's a very bad argument.
Let's look at the pay for items and their values of which a ESO plus subscriber or a person who just buys crowns every 3-6 months will see.
5k crowns for motifs
4-5k crowns for mounts
1500-5k crown crates
1200-5000 crowns for costumes
Basically it's set for a 90 day accumulation which requires one to also purchase a bulk of crowns during a sale
This stuff is 100% non-accessible otherwise less motif.
The game was a cost of $15/month
Now it's on average $30/month for a player who occasionally may buy a few things here and there
Someone who may decide to just play and sub is cut off from 75% of limited items due to a lack of accumulation.
Prob time to Move on but just pointing out the greed model. This has nothing to do with funding devs. because by logic if it was, then we would have content rolling out.
We've had recycled content and a few dungeons, a small DB and TG dlc in almost one year and in Feb well see housing which isn't dlc. It's actually another crown initiative
Nothing in the crown store should ever exceed the monthly sub cost. That's just the basic math of it all. And ppl saying they could've survive that way....silly.
Now the other side of it is this.....maybe some thing should come as a loyalty of subbing vs a cost of 5k in crowns. Imagine that as a model.
SMH this is dumb.
