    I agree. ^^

VMA is one of the most annoying things I have ever put myself through on a video game. It's as if the developers went out of their way to come up with the most cheesy gameplay elements imaginable and then combined then into a single never-ending torture session.

How anyone can find that crap fun or enjoyable is beyond my ability to understand. But to each their own I guess.

Idk what is worse. The fact that it is super difficult when you first start or the fact that is gets super boring having to run it a bunch of times.

    yes its hard.
but yes it can be done.
I spent 4hrs a day for the past couple weeks doing it and recently beat it and let me tell you when I beat it I woke up my family I was so happy. There is no other content except maybe vmol that would make me that nuts.
its the hard stuff that keeps endgame players like me going as I cant be bothered to even do vwgt anymore....
you make the game a creampuff and everyone will quit out of boredom

I think there is some middle ground between creampuff and then VMA.

Its called nma. There is very little content in this game that the majority of active players can't complete.

At one point I didn't think I would ever beat it. Now I have my flawless clear and can breeze right through. I also play my character a whole lot better now.

It is worth it to stick with it even if you don't get that perfect item you wanted.

It's a brutal way to learn but it makes you a better player and teaches you how to handle certain situations. The only thing I think is not fair is the RNG of course. It's too much of a grind and it's difficult to get your head in the right frame of mind to do it again straight away after getting a poor reward in the chest

There's one fundamental issue with vMA which if you don't fix yourself; you will never complete the dungeon. That issue is that you cannot play vMA the way that you want to play; you have to play the way that will beat the dungeon. It's a hard and sad truth but it is the truth.

Way back when, I started vMA on my Stamina DK with a S&B / Bow build with 7 heavy. I loved my build, I loved the defensive side from S&B and the offensive side from bow. My 7 heavy made me invincible in vet dungeons and the like. As soon as I stepped into the arena, I breezed past round 1, got through round 2, managed round 3 and 4 then hit round 5.... Now... Round 5. Everyone who has completed Round 5 knows exactly how painfully horrific Round 5 is. I couldn't beat it. I tried again and again and again until I had blisters on my fingers (ps4 player so controller). It wasn't until I saw ANDY_S and Alcast running 7 medium and bow/dw that I changed my build and ran the thing again. I swapped my heavy for 5 x NMG, 5 X Hundings and I cleared rounds 1-6 flawless the first try.

The moral of this story is that you have to have a set build that you MUST use to beat vMA if you haven't completed it already. The learning curve with a self-made build is so ridiculously high that is why people get so frustrated with the Arena.

If you have a tried and tested build, and you know the spawns and the kill order and you still can't clear the Arena, then there is only 1 thing you can blame. YOURSELF. The Arena is impossible to beat, until you beat it. Then it becomes so mind numbingly boring that people can run it in their sleep. It is for that reason that people cry out for a token system for the loot. Not because the content is difficult, because it isn't. It's so tedious for so small a chance of reward that makes the Arena so unpopular.

The issue is deeper than just that. Think about it. For a high CP player, regen and sustain are non-issues. Build correctly you will never run out of resources. ZOS set out to make REALLY hard solo PVE content. So in a game where you can sustain indefinitely, how does one accomplish that? You make mobs and bosses hit extremely hard, leaving little time to react. You add some RNG one-shots so that even when a player is doing well, sometimes they still die. Imo, with this game, Idk how they could have made it hard any other way.

The real problem is the way the lack of soft-caps and the CP system allow us to build for maximum damage while still never running out of resources.

The only issue with VMA is the 7th round. The fact whether or not you die is based on RNG poison spawns is stupid. My last 6 runs I would have gotten flawless but I died once each to the poison spawns.

The weapon RNG is BS too, once I got 3 of the same infused SnB in a row.

The rest of it is easy after 10 or so runs. Sure there's lag and glitches that get you killed but that doesn't make VMA need nerfed or anything.

The real problem is the way the lack of soft-caps and the CP system allow us to build for maximum damage while still never running out of resources.

I beat vMA recently on my alt account with only 288CP, and I ran into zero resource issues and had an easier time sustaining resources than when I did vMA for my first time on my main account with more CP.

Things like CP are red herrings. If you are working on a first clear, you will be making mistakes in the arena. And you will need to waste resources fixing those mistakes. You can be CP-capped and still run into resource issues in vMA. Yes, CP does help by providing an extra margin of error, but there is absolutely no substitute for experience. That means practice. That means dying countless times in your first clear. These are the dues that everyone pays: I have cleared vMA on every one of my 8 level 50 characters, and I have Flawless, but my first clear cost me many hours, well over a hundred deaths and was full of expletives and violently mutilated water bottles.

Without a difficult solo arena, there would be no way to measure a player's "skill".
I mean, you can measure one's DPS, but that does not tell you how skillful they really are.

Another thing that gets "measured" with the completion of such hard solo content is the willpower of a player. There are those that are willing to fight and earn, and there are those that expect everything to be handed to them with little effort.

With such a large number of "Stormproofs" running around, I believe you should ask yourself:
"Is it time to Git Gud?"
