I reached the final boss at cp330 and it was clear I wasn't going to clear this as of yet only because I have not actually experienced it enough to have my muscle memory in tune with the mechanics.
So, I decided to take a break and work on building up my cp. I am up to cp375, and let me tell you it makes a difference. Also, I reallocated some to prep for just this stage.
Anywho, im a stam nb running 5pc. Tbs and 5pc. VO. Only gold weapons. I finally did it enough and watched enough videos to get the mechanics down. What do I do?...get the boss down to execute range and I'm grabbing the 3rd gold ghost for his second stun, so I can just go ham on his A$$. I hit what I thought was triangle + circle. Instead from all the pressure I activated only my arrow barrage and I was nuked. I felt so sick to my stomach. It would have been my first clear. I just felt like I needed to vent. I was so peed off I lost sleep over this lol. Thanks and wish me luck when I go in again.

Reorx_Holybeard✭✭✭✭✭I feel your pain. One the first few times I managed to get to the third stage of the final boss and had him around 2% before I died to something silly. Or the last week when I ran it and while I was activating the explosion to finish the boss I managed to get stunned, hit a white ghost and then the Guard finished me off. Or running out of stamina and not being able to bash the boss. Or just being on the edge of his AoE to take damage even though it looks like your outside of it.
I could go on and on about all the dumb ways I've died on the last boss...it can go to "fine" to "dead" in a second if you make the wrong move.Reorx Holybeard -- NA/PC

Last weekend one of my guildmates beat it for the first time, and ended up running it all night to gain another six clears. We log in the next day to find him ranting about how he is going to quit the game because for all his seven clears he got nothing but shield and mace, shield and mace.
We offered to run through the group delve with him, since he was also looking for a sharpened elegant sword and clearly needed to relax and do something easy for a while. An hour later we find his character hiding under a ramp near the group boss, and snoring coming from his mic.
Mission accomplished.Why be normal when you can be better?

I'm probably worse than most, but I must have died 800 times. Like literally 800 times. I finally finished it. Then I told myself never again. I did it again the next week and died 100 times. Then I did it again and died 30 times. Meanwhile 1 of the 3 times I got a weapon I needed, and it is making VMA even easier. I look forward to running it a bunch and getting some killer weapons out of there.0

Consider yourself extremely lucky... 1 out of 3 runs and you got a weapon you were looking for?
many of of us have done dozens of runs and haven't even gotten the right weapon with the worst trait...
OP - keep at it.. if you GOT to round 9 i promise you can finish it. it is one of the harder rounds just because there are 3 parts to it... its easy to make a mistake. The first clear is great and all... and i hope you get exactly the item you want with the perfect trait... but don't hold your breath too long. CP690
