many of of us have done dozens of runs and haven't even gotten the right weapon with the worst trait...

OP - keep at it.. if you GOT to round 9 i promise you can finish it. it is one of the harder rounds just because there are 3 parts to it... its easy to make a mistake. The first clear is great and all... and i hope you get exactly the item you want with the perfect trait... but don't hold your breath too long.

Not the perfect weapon, but definitely a usable one (Precise Bow, want a Sharpened Bow). I also got a dagger, but it is charged.

well i encourage you to keep trying, the learning curve is steep but once you're there, it gets trivial real fast.

One thing i must point out though, it was not the cp that made the difference, you simply had more practice and more experience.

i started on my stamblade at cp 270, finished at 274, 5 NMG, 5 viper, 2 leki, only gold weapons. Farmed with the same setup and had full vMA weapons by cp310 (non-optimal trait). Got my stamblade to leader at cp320, stam sorc to leader cp350, stam dk leader and flawless cp380. next up is magplar.

So for those of you out there trying to a first clear, stop waiting, cp makes no difference if you dont learn it first.

It's definately content that IMO should not be limited to solo only.

Now I'm fine with it being solo-able and the leaderboards and what not

I just also think that nothing in this game should be solo-only.
Rewards should apply to circumstance but geez, solo only content in an MMO is very frustrating especially when the difficulty isn't even spread amongst all classes and roles.

You have to play DPS and can't tank or be a healing type but you have to buy he dlc to get access to solo only circumstantial stuff.

Frustrating but I'm over 375 CP and still find it too hard because I don't find joy in solo only builds as I prefer group content.

If your lucky it's the only time you will choke. I choked several times b4 the stars finally aligned. Now it's a matter of getting on when the Lag isn't an issue. On console it's been a *** show since 1T launch with lag.

I feel the same when people say they lost over 50 % over their investments due to a market crash. If that happens you don't have the mentality to do it. But it is okay to feel frustrated.

On the other hand, if he likes the game and spent a lot of effort trying to accomplish something, then it is understandable. Who are you to judge? No one.

Frustration comes in many forms but the result is usually the same.

Sitting in the boat right behind you myself. Currently breaking my brain on reworking my character build to tackle VMSA and increase my overall effectiveness.

I just got my first clear two days ago. I got the final boss into execute range 4 times before I finished him. You will get it dont worry.

As to the thread, vMA can be unforgiving and consumes more time than the value of it's rewards it actually deliver.

I can't say this enough: vMSA is not worth getting so angry about! I always try to be as calm as possible when I run it, because my runs always get worse if I'm frustrated.

VMA has been trash since it was released. Some of the worst designed content this game had ever seen. The imballance it's weapons had caused, the outright idiocy that is it's mechanics.

It's not worth -doing-. Not just worth not giving a crap about.

@Dymence - lots of folks don't get that they're not in the United States when they're on the Internet. Quit three guilds over that issue...well...not really....I just didn't want to hear political discussions while playing the game

Meanwhile we have another thread where some fella says he did that single player mini-game 300 times without getting the weapon he wanted. He added that you NEEDED these weapons or else you were letting the people who play with you down.

So you must do this out of social responsibility?!

Friends have quit due to not being able to do it once. And it's the eerie kind of quit...they vanish without a word, never to be seen again. It's as if they feel humiliated by it...

Uh...this isn't an E-Sport.

I'm not quite sure what purpose it serves, sticking a single player game into a setting meant for cooperation. I've lost count of the number of times I've seen folks asking for help with it and I don't mean advice. They were asking for help completing it and were surprised that such a thing was not allowed.

But we're stuck with this turd in a bowl of milk. Best you can hope for is that they present you with your pick of weapons when you complete it so folks can move on and play an online game...a multiplayer online game.

other than the RNG that is plaguing the game in general, hell the entire MMO genre for that matter, vMA is a true masterpiece in the MMO world as I'm sure most would agree with.

Vmsa teaches you a lot about the game it forces you to learn mechanics and become a better player....took me almost 20 hours to beat it the first time....took me several weeks before I got flawless and on leaderboards...I can say I'm a much stronger player due to that learning curve....keep vmsa difficulty where it's at....it doesn't need to be watered down because people can't take the challenge.

Go do normal dungeons if you don't want a challenge
