Dont Pay those Crazy Prices for Gold Jewelry vs Purple No Value in paying the extra 500k per piece

I picked up a set of Gold Elegant Jewelry when I ran one of the new trials when they first came out, but I just noticed how cheap Purple vs Gold which are about 400k plus per piece vs the 40-50k for purple. so I purchased a complete set of purple to look at the numbers and see if the premium price for gold vs purple was worth it in performance. below are the numbers for each. It's rather obvious so, don't be stupid and pay that high of extra dollars. I armor and weapons, the max would be 7 times the price of gold wax would be the max you should play for those as well, but the extra performance is still marginal. In this example i'm using my Sorc which has completed VMA as well (using the 3 Purple's) and Blue Food

yellow jewelry is good if you are up for world records in trials
PvP and whatever else purple is more than enough
only thing you must make sure is yellow are the weapons

Also, if you are looking to purchase gold jewelery, don't pay any more than 250k gold for it! That's what it sells for at the Golden Vendor. Sure, you may have to wait for the day it drops there, but it will be worth it. On a side note, if you have 500k AP and nothing else you want to spend it on, you can use that too.

It's much cheaper than paying what they want for most of the popular sets at the most popular guild traders like the ones in Rawl'ka wanting over 300k-500k for each piece of gold jewelery. I laugh out loud each time I see those prices.

That combined 32 missing crit number is like 0.26% crit. Not even close to 3%. To put that into real terms, that is one more crit out of 400 hits.

I have 2 purple and 2 gold infallible aether rings (but no necklace! How's that for RNG?) and I can tell you that the gold rings are orders of magnitude better than the purple rings. This is due to their chief attribute: their shininess.

If we're talking stats, though, it's a rounding error. The difference is negligible.

Unless you are talking about the medium armor passives and the extra crit from gold divines with the thief mundas, there is not more then, as the poster in a previous comment said, a rounding error in difference.

Plus with VO, three of the seven(!) effects are percentage based and are not improved with quality. So even less point to pay or grind for gold.

Yeah... ZOS doesn't know how to balance the difficulty in acquiring so many upgrading materials (or the market average prices due low drop rates, if buying) or, in case of jewelries, prices of Golden, the merchant, since the RNG in trials are bad

The point of the thread is to show that for jewelry at least, there is little point to spend the outrageous amounts of time and gold that is required to get gold versions. armor and especially weapons, is another story.

I wear gold Infallible Mage, Vicious Offidian, and Eternal Yokeda on three toons respectively. I don't understand the pay mentality when it comes to gold. But then again, I'm PvE exclusive.

Gold Jewlery not worth as title of thread suggest, it needs seriously stats boost..

As u can put kuta enchantment in purple level so i never bother gold jewlery instead always sell it.
