South American Server?

Hi guys. I love ESO and I've been playing it since it came out on PS4. I'm on the North American Server but I usually get a lot of lag, specially when going to Cyrodill or playing Trials (it's so bad I stopped doing those altogether). It becomes unplayable for me. Doing dungeons or doing quests is fine though, for the most part. But I can't help but feel us players from South America need our own server.

Is it possible for ZoS to create a server for us one day? I would just like to know If it would be possible, doesn't matter if a year or two from now.

There is a big Brazilian community on Facebook dedicated to this game and I know quite a few friends from Argentina as well. I'm sure there is enough public to serve the demands and cost of a new server.

But the NA server is in texas which is almost south america lol. I'm just kidding but I can't imagine your lag being worse than oceanic players. I think they want a japanese megaserver first.

I usally get 150~200ms. It gets worse when there is a bunch of players around. When I try running trials for example I hit a button to activate a skill and 5 seconds later it activates and everyone stops moving. A few seconds later I am dead and I don't know what happened. Cyrodill is even worse. Once I spot a big group in the distance everyone stops moving and I am logged out of the game. I could never experience those big fights I see on streams. It sounds fun. Well, I'm sure Oceanic players deserve a server first, I jist want to know if ZoS is open to expand their servers world wide.

Your connection quality can impact your latency more than your geographical location. I live in the UK and connect via ethernet over a fibre service. My ping to EU megaserver is lowest 50ms anywhere up to +999ms at peak times in cyrodiil, but it usually sits around 70-100ms. I recently went away to France, which was geographically closer to the EU megaserver, but I was only able to use the weak wifi signal of a copper wire conection (not fibre). My latency was lowest at 300ms and constantly went up to over 500ms. My point is that the weak wifi signal was mostly to blame for that latency. ESO doesn't need that much bandwidth to play but it does need decent ping, and one easy way to improve ping is to plug your computer directly into the router with ethernet cable.

This question will inevitable be decided in some boardroom, by some suits after looking at the revenue they can get.
If many people pay for ESO in some area, and projections show many more people might pay for ESO if they had better conditions, they will crunch the numbers and look into the question "Do we profit from the investment of a new megaserver in the long run?"
And I kinda doubt south america has enough untapped income for them to get to a "yes" on that one... as people have mentioned, they will consider an asian megaserver first and foremost...
