Why have levels anymore? Just let us start new characters at our max cp...

Seems to me levels have absolutely no point behind them anymore. Since everything is scaled that is.

Just let us create characters starting off with our CP. No point in forcing people to go through levels or waste time not earning CP. It'd also help the ease the CP Grind fest so people creating new characters can gain a lot of extra CP just by completing the main quests.

Yes, Once you have 6 max characters the last 2 should be free lvl 50

Having to grind skills, gear etc there's no point

Levels have literally no point now. How about just start off from 0 CP, then you gain CP just like you do levels... ZOS do the math and get us to 50 or 100, or 150CP by end game so people can level up to 160 quicker. Reaching level 50, and level 50 in of it's self, is completely pointless.

Well they do really. If you keep levelling up but not upgrading gear, you will lose stats :^)

I can agree with if you already have one of a class to 50 that you could make another at 50 with only the skill points from levels.

I still don't agree with skyshards, titles, reputation, or achievements transferring

I don't mind levelling, just ditch levels on gear.
Replacing gear with exactly the same item just "higher level" is dumb.

You guys don't seem to understand...

Levels are not a "walkthrough" or tutorial, they were suppose to represent people who still haven't completed the game. as things are now people will grind mobs to CP then do whatever.

I feel like with update12, levels have became completely pointless due to scaling everywhere. The only reason why before they had any meaning was becaue things were not scaled, there were leveled enemies and zones. Now that it's gone theres no reason to have people starting off from level 1 to 50 before reaching CP.

The only argument against this is when you create a new character you'll be CP 500 despite being "new". But the fact is you can still spec a level 1 character with 500 CP anyways... and you have to get skill points and level your skills up so it's not like you're creating new "end game" characters off the bat.

I really hope ZOS considers taking levels out of the game and just making it CP across the board.

What you should be able to do is upgrade gear level after reaching a certain crafting level.
Then you would only regear for a better or different set.

Your stats will go down even if you upgrade your gear, so really not so much.

That's why it should be changed to CP and just make more of the main quests give Skill Points.

Could be incredibly wrong because I havent tried it since but I dont think you can scale anything down anymore since 1T came out.

My thoughts exactly. The quicker new players earn CP, the quicker they can get into endgame. At the moment you'll see a gap where a player reaches 50, thinks they're ready for endgame, gets stomped by a few max CP people/gets denied spots in trials groups due to low CP, and quits instead of grinding out 560+ CP.

There's really no reason why you couldn't do the same thing with just CP

    Why would I be trolling?

Everything is scaled, point of levels are to play leveled content, everyone grinds through levels anyways, the fact leveling up gives skill points can be addressed through giving skill points on more quests.

Do I really have to be trolling? Can you not fathom how incredibly obtuse you are being?

I don't know about you guys but I would be pretty bored with a character fast if all I had to do was sit through character creation and then automatically have access to all my CP and equip CP160 gear within minutes of making the character. Where's the fun in that?

You can already spec your CP off the bat, making you a total beast compared to new players.

The levels them self don't really matter. Perhaps give us every CP up to 62 or whatever where we "level up" and put points into our attributes.

At least this way, a level'd character can see the other DPS in his dungeon is actually cp500 while he's under CP 160.

I have to admit that I don't like going through the process of upgrading my riding skills. But instant max level no thanks. I'd be bored by the end of the day.
I don't like to do things like collecting skyshards when my character is max level. I don't like doing the main quest and guild quests with a max cp toon. I do that stuff when I'm levelling my character to 50. So please no max level chars when you've reached that once.
