Incorrect: You also don't get DSA weapons or Monster masks in Normal.
And, no, it absolutely should not be an option. vMA is aspirational content, and the weapons are the exclusive reward of vMA. nMA is a joke and even a level 3 can beat it (I've done it). And it's good that there are still some things in this game that are skill-gated and not rewarded as mere participation prizes.
Virtually everyone who has beaten vMA had to suffer for their first clears. My first clear took over a hundred deaths (not counting the many deaths in my previous attempts--there was no save feature back then). Yes, it was painful and frustrating, but that's what made it worthwhile. Everyone goes through it. If you want those weapons, you have to as well.

I love the mentality of " just cause i suffered everyone else has to suffer too". If you want to torture yourself then play Veteran MA, personally I play to have fun not torture myself.

Nobody is forcing you to torture yourself.
But the best weapons are reserved for best players.
Prove you are worthy of them.
Seriously, when I see somebody having a Maelstrom weapon, I instantly know this is a great player.
And no, the weapon is not the thing that makes him great.

Great player at solo content /= great player in group content, the only reason you should want a player with a malestrom weapon in your party is because of his malestrom weapon, he might suck at group content or have good self sustain but not very high dps.
doing solo content for the best pvp and pve weapons is a very stupid idea

LOL.
If you really believe a person that beat vMA will suck at group PvE, I guess you have zero insight into how this game works.
I don't value the Weapon he has, I value his vMA title (experience). He can wear Queen's Elegance swords for all I care.
You don't deserve a Maelstrom Weapon, simple as that.
Even if you somehow managed to get your hands on one, you would still be a bad player.

If you don't want to do vet mode, don't do it. If you can't do vet mode, git gud :^)

Bigevilpeter wrote: »I hate malestrom arena its the most non enjoyable annoying thing they could have ever made.
I'm forced to play solo for days, its so difficult not to mention horrible drops, its a complete pure waste of time.
Now since they are adding blue versions for every other set in the game in normal mode they should to the same with malestrom arena, most people hate it and will never do it on veteran and no other way to get these BiS weapons.
Now sets lile VO and IA which are BiS drop in normal Trails not to mention all other dungeon sets, the same shuold be done with malestrom weapons and leave veteran for leaderboards and competition. Ofc the drop rates should be decreased on normal, but it should be an available option.
