I think it should.be about strategy, skill and people working together.
However it takes a very long time to learn this which I guess is why zerging, OP builds, and cannot die tanks are so popular.
Playing for my faction (DC) has always been interesting because players there mostly rely on skill. I like to think that this is why the other 2 factions have to use underhand methods to defeat us
If a player builds for defense and does nothing but focus on defense during a fight, they should be very hard to kill. The guys you were chasing were probably trying to get back to their group, so they can actually be useful. Alone they can't do anything as js clear in your video.
I'm surprised you weren't ganked by some stamina build while you were focussed on the tank, as that is the other half of the equation usually.
