What a coincidence!
It took about a year before ZOS realized oil pots cost less AP on EP than the other factions. The only actual case of faction favoritism in the game's history.
Well, given the fact in previous posts we have stated that the bonus is being applied after faction is pop locked for several consecutive hours- you also insinuated you know exactly how the low pop bonus worked.....Since ZOS has never one time revealed what timeframe a faction has to be at low to gain the bonus or how long it lasts to my knowlege, maybe you could fill in the blank there?
It would definitely be helpful, as right now what is being reported is clearly not a faction being at low pop for ANY amount of time to gain the bonus- and it is happening repeatedly.
See,Not sure if this will shed some light on this subject/mechanics, but here is a post from Dec. 2014

Thank you for staying patient, all. We have looked into the population bonus and everything seems to be working as designed. To give you a bit more insight into the mechanic, the population bonus is applied and dissolved over time and not immediately. Because of the gradual application, there isn't really a way for players to log in and out to raise or lower the bonus in a consistent way.
We can say after looking at the campaigns from the back end that the battles are often pretty close! That said, we will continue monitoring the campaigns to see if the population bonus needs to be tweaked.
As you can see, this subject has been brought up time and time again......and as always, here we go....."its working as intended". Please Zos, can you once again look into this dam low pop bonus crap and make sure this isnt a "BUG". As others have stated, we dont need all of AD looked at as some kind of LP cheaters.
There's at least one or two other posts out there about the subject. As stated before your post and after, the low pop bonus has absolutely nothing to do with what the pop looks like when it gets applied. I don't have a whole lot of faith in ZOS, but generally something working as intended yesterday is also working as intended today. Calling for them to look for bugs in it is really fruitless and just screams whining. Especially for a system that applies universally. There's literally no way AD can benefit from it in a way that EP/DC can't as well. The difference is that AD met the requirements to be considered for the bonus. This is a holistic approach to the issue, not just crying about how AD is locked during primetime and I only play during primetime so that's all that matters.
So, you don't know how it works at all. You insinuated you did, but in fact do not. Interesting.
You say "I don't have a whole lot of faith in ZOS, but generally something working as intended yesterday is also working as intended today. Calling for them to look for bugs in it is really fruitless and just screams whining. Especially for a system that applies universally". Of note here is that only AD are getting this low pop bonus while at pop lock. You are dismissive with yet another post and again insinuate that its all fine and working as intended missing key points that were already covered.
So to cover this completely, you don't know how it works, we should not report it, and just know that the unknowing scoring designed to give low pop factions help is somehow giving the bonus to fully manned factions- but only one of them- for only a few hours- when at pop lock for several hours before then- reporting this or saying something is not necessary as according to you, its something all factions can utilize and benefit from- but they are not.
Well, guess the rest of us should just ltp and gitgud- but I would like to thank you for another chance to bump the thread up.

You might want to re-read what I wrote and the context of the conversation but let me clarify.
I was stating the fact that DC beat AD for second place a couple Haddy campaigns in a row due to the low pop bonus.
I was not insinuating that DC was deliberately organizing their faction to exploit the low pop bonus.

See, conspiracy theory confirmed - DC wants to enslave my Khajiti friends.
This is why I work hard every day to manipulate the low pop bonus using special rainbow cellular signals that I bounce off a Russian satellite into an implant I placed in Brian Wheeler's neocortex last Wednesday.

Don't make me drag up the thread, it was something about @ataggs asking AD to return and help on TF. Remember? I was just joking about finger pointing and conspiracy theories - I rarely if ever mean to insult anybody.
Battlestar Gallactica has been on my mind ever since @heystreethawk quoted Captain Adama very poignantly one morning, after a very challenging fight for the map the night before.
Bottom line is still that it would be very helpful and reassuring to everyone if a Dev stepped in to explain what has been going on.
Btw did the low population bonus appear again on Sunday or Monday?

I really hate to be the one to bring this up AGAIN ....but you all were blaming DC for using a low pop bonus to beat you on Haderus.
Never chimed in on that, and I'm not sure why you're talking to me. Outside of a few nights when a huge amount of DC materialized out of nowhere, they were a non-entity on Haderus, and as a result, I'd fully expect them to receive the low-pop bonus; whether or not they deliberately gunned for that bonus is a moot point, because the scores on that campaign were too wack for anyone to actually care about.
EP was the primary boogeyman on Haderus, and not because of PM. There was a very strange contingent of EP who would flip the entire map during the day (re-crowning an emp generally reviled across factions and widely suspected of account sharing since his days on AD), and then AD/DC would take their stuff back at night before moving east. Nikolai would usually warm his crew up on TF until the Had map approached homeostasis. A massive blue stampede suddenly appeared on a few different nights, coinciding with the low pop bonus, and then they left. Other than that, the extent of DC involvement in the campaign was Pale Orc's group occasionally making a play at Roebeck.
If anyone cared enough about the DC low-pop thing to be upset about it, I never heard from them. Telel pointing out that it happened does not amount to a faction taking up arms against DC on a campaign that was only ever winnable for red.Don't make me drag up the thread, it was something about @ataggs asking AD to return and help on TF. Remember? And now you guys are winning via a "bugged" low pop bonus and it's "ad are innocent angels who would never do such thing!" No faction is coordinated enough, at this point in time, to game the population metrics on a 30 day campaign that is poplocked for everyone during primetime. It's conceivable to pull it off on Haderus, a 7 day campaign that almost never has a queue, and in which the population discrepancies are much more visible to the naked eye. However, no one else cares about whether or not DC did it on Haderus. People mentioned it, and then they moved on to more relevant things.

Are you actually asserting no player in the history of this game has figured out a bug or glitch and exploited it?
Just today video evidence of an exploit was posted. A few months ago a massive cheat program was exposed that was being used by countless players.
I'm not saying low pop bonus is being exploited. I'm saying it's possible if history is the best evidence of potential abuses of game mechanics. And this is all the more reason to demand the devs at least answer us on what is going on right now.
Soul_Demon wrote: »"Wow you're dense."
Lets stop beating around the bush then...you insinuated you knew how it worked and got called on it.....then you changed strategy and go to the "has even been a link to one of the dev responses in a previous thread" and I assume its the same one you personally quoted previously from "DODHitman" Here is the funny part, he was being facetious and the link in that IS TO THIS THREAD WE ARE IN NOW.
I recommend you stop trying to insult people buy suggesting you are in any position to either know something about what is being reported or insinuate that you understand the process when clearly you backpedal when called on it and are linking up things telling us they speak to one thing when its just a link to the thread we are currently speaking in. You did follow the quote you posted with the "link" right?
So, maybe you are the one who is dense- either that or you can backpedal again not understanding and try to toss a few insults out there again. Believe me, making a rude, condescending idiot stand out is not much of a challenge. But, feel free to continue.....but maybe actually read the thread and links that you quote first- that is always helpful.
