How do you know they aren't? With the number of rng threads for the whole game we know you can run dungeons over, and over, and over, and over. And the rates can be adjusted. I wouldn't guess the rates if this were LIVE from one day to the next, much less on pts.

Honestly, it seems like these Crown Crates aren't aimed at us forum go'ers. They're aiming for the cash-ual, those who play less but have no problem dropping ten bucks on a digital lottery ticket. ZoS doesn't care that we don't want them, because they're going to make money off the people who aren't on here. It's pretty awful, but that's the way things are going nowadays. Games are businesses first and foremost. The only thing you can do is not buy them when they come out. Personally, I plan on pretending they don't exist, because gambling is for suckers.

Generally, no.Did you like/use the consumables you received from the Crown Crates?
IF I actually liked this idea and system, I would be annoyed that there are two popups after EVERY crate I buy so it's pretty annoying to buy multiples.Do you have any general feedback?

food, drink, and potions are terrible and useless. these are just trash or more than that. it even will make my gameplay flat and boring.ZOS_GinaBruno wrote: »

Its actually even worse.
In many games that introduce stuff like this, you can actually use or sell unwanted items, or get some p2w stuff. Im 100% against p2w and sellable cash shop items, but I just want to say that in those games there's still some kind of incentive to buy the crates even if you dont get an item you want.

5. Provide interesting crown store options that are not locked in the RNG boxes for those of us who don't like gambling.
If the gem return was 1:1 I'd definitely have no issue buying crates, as it'd make the chances of me getting items I want actually somewhat high. I keep trying to do the math, and since it's purely RNG, it's far, far too possible to just get absolutely screwed and never get anything you want.Applinator wrote: »I think the gem return for duplicates should be 1:1. It's ridiculous that a scamp will cost me 15 gems to buy, but I only get 5 gems if I get a second one.
5. Consider our feedback before going live with the loot crates the way they are. This is a huge business decision, and it's not only going to affect the game's balance, and whether or not people will continue playing the game. It will affect your reputation as a company and whether or not people well ever play any of your games again. Seriously.
I don't mind the Crate system so long as I can still drop $50 to buy a special mount instead of gambling $300 to try and get it from a crate.
I don't think they should be free, but the exchange rate for previously owned items needs to be raised. An RNG grind requiring real money is absolutely horrible. I'm not against making some collectables hard, but I feel like it's currently punishing for players/collectors.Honestly, I don't think these boxes should be purchasable. Maybe a free, random drop every 24 hrs from completing a dungeon or just killing some random add. No way I would buy some "crate" for the off chance the rng gods will be in my favor, sorry.
It's a milking machine. Giving them away defeats the purpose of their implementation.Honestly, I don't think these boxes should be purchasable.
