The guard can still flare you, ccd you, and drag you back to them.
Vamp might be the best for escaping, the mist form make them immune to any CC, reduce damage taken by 75%, and can be morphed to give movement speed. elantaura✭✭✭✭I escape from guards on my Templar best way better than magblade because you can't cloak once they have you due to detection radius, but heal, then run, then swim If I've incurred a bounty.
As for stealing. bosmer (I believe although never tried) and Kajhit I know is good, but it's because of stealth bonus detection radius - my stam NB is good at stealing. but thats because he's kajhit not because NB. he has with vigor for the odd moment he has to run then swim.
It's not NB skills making him good at it. It's kajhit race and alliance war with the stam to run from the guards and heal lol.
I have a lowbie bank character with a high ledgerderman for a long time. she's a stam DK kajhit and she's pretty good too she has stam to run and dragons blood.
I have a bosmer friend who's a stam NB in cyrodill, my magblade who can perma cloak technically, sets of guards in keeps long before she does - due to stealth detection. Yet on my kajhit or his kajhit DK, ( he has that too) we can sneak around easy Peasy- It's a race thing, more than a class thing.PS4 EU 1200+ cp - I enjoy RP, Housing, PVE and PVP2 -

✭A Khajiit vampire nightblade wearing nights silence and having concealed weapon slotted is the best thief in the game. You move so fast in stealth that the guard will not be able to hit you with the flare.
Although as a thief if you are having to worry about the guards, this one thinks that something is wrong

But they removed the advantage NBs had for stealing a long time ago. Used to be able to steal without it removing Cloak, so you could pop a Cloak in front of an NPC grab what you wanted and leave. ✭✭✭Nightblade has easier access to invisibility, that's all. And that isn't always enough...
