The cheating is out of hand

The macros and CE have got to stop.

This player hit me with all of these attacks simultaneously. Two of them are long casts. There was no lag. This occurred at least five times to the same player.

Each time, I had a health regen + 30% increased healing potion active while standing in my ritual and rune focus. I had rapid regeneration active. I have 3600 crit resist, 18k physical. I have 27 points in Steed - > Resistant and 75 in Lady->Hardy. One time, I was even blocking.

Each and every time, despite being prepared, I died in literally half a second. The player had not fully materialized from dropping cloak before I died and had somehow used four abilities, two of which are supposed to have a cast time.

This is not an isolated incident. There are a lot of players abusing macros and flat out cheating. Some of the best players I've encountered can't do this because they don't cheat.

Focused Aim > Focused Aim > LA > Poison injection.

Different projectiles speed, making all of those hit almost at the same time.

Move on...

Typical response. Absolutely not what this particular player was doing. I know fair use of projectile speed and cast time. This was not it.

Focused aim projectiles hit within half a second of each other with an ability use between them and a second cast time. But sure, you're right.

If the player uses focused aim, he can cast poison injection and use a light attack before the focused aim hits you. You got hit by the second focused aim because* you weren't paying attention and / or got knocked off your mount and couldn't react.

There is nothing in this picture that shows any type of evidence towards the use of CE, and the landing of all these attacks can be done easily without a macro.

You just posted a screenshot of yourself dying to a ganker, nothing more and nothing less.

I don't know how anyone can say "it's nothing" or "it's something". It's a picture. If the OP says "CHEATS" how the hell would I know? See it? Record it? Report it?

I suppose the first focused aim just decided to hang in the air for the other one to catch up then? It's hard to convey what happened without a video. I've been attacked by my fair share of gankers over the years. It never looked like what this player was doing. I should have known better than to post on these forums

Admittedly, the screenshot isn't the whole story. I reported the player and moved on. I can see reason to doubt this was an incident of cheating, but if you deny cheating happens, you probably haven't spent much time in cyrodiil.

I get accused of cheating on a daily basis, most ppl just dont have a clue, not saying its the same in this incident, just that accusing ppl of cheating is far more frequent then actual cheating.

Like Sandman said, it's hard to tell because it's a pic. I have been Pvping since Early Access and I can say I have run into similar situations in the past... not recently though unless you count the crit charge bug.

I completely agree. Cheating accusations are out of hand, too. I've been playing since beta. I know when something is fishy. I don't expect everyone to read this and take me at my word about this incident, but to deny cheating even happens is silly. Believe me about this player or not. That's not the point of the post.

I know where your coming from, the problem is when the cheat engine first came to light pvp was like night and day the amount of players cheating was crazy, there still are a few and if you know what to look for you can tell the difference between good players and scumbag cheaters, but because cheating has been running rampant in this game for so long it will have a dark cloud over the player base for a very long time.

Everyday I run accros a few players still cheating, but a lot less than it used to be, ZOS keep banning and keep them banned please.

Deniers will deny. Liars will lie. I don't know why people are so determined to deny CE is still being used routinely in both subtle and extreme ways. To think that the temptation to use it doesn't have a draw on hyper competitive and immature, insecure mentalities (far too many in this game) is just plain naive.

I think the whole "clever use of game mechanics" is just a phrase the CE users came up with the cover their true antics. It's a way for them to cheat and yet still claim authenticity.

Snipe has cast time of 1.1 seconds, so assuming a rotation of Snipe > Snipe > Light > Poison you'll get hit by all those attacks within 1.1seconds.

From your perspective:
0 seconds : first snipe hits
1.1 seconds : light hits, then poison then snipe, all within 0.1seconds

From attackers perspective:
-1.1 seconds: casts first snipe
0 seconds: first snipe lands second snipe releasing from bow. Animation cancelled with light attack immediately followed by poison
1.1 seconds: Light attack lands, then poison then cause of snipes travel time the second snipes lands.

Anyone who has used a bow can tell you this is a very basic rotation that is absolutely brutal, no CE or macros needed.
