What so you run it once and it's done for? Christ you obviously have no idea how good this change actually is, be grateful before they change their minds. It's like saying Kena should ALWAYS drop a helmet and SPC gloves.

Well who actually repeats solo content happily? Lol. I won't be doing it more than once

SO have you not done it at all?

I just turned 160. In my first post I literally asked what it was he was talking about as I'm unsure with every acronym in this game yet
But when I do get to end game content I've no interest in solo stuff that doesn't give a pre expected reward. If I dont know why I'm doing it then why would I? The challenge? For me challenge is managing to work as a big team, not being good solo which I've been doing from beginning of game anyway hahah
Seems to me that the 50% chance is broken i have done this arena enough to earn it so yeah.Chilla_Deluxe wrote: »The traits should only be infused sharpened precise and defending. Thats it. And it should be a choice of wreapon at the end. Me getting my weapon i want isnt going to make people quit. Doing maelstrom 100+ times and not getting things will!!
Why don't we just hand you your weapon of choice before you even start the arena? Seems to me you don't want to do anything to earn it.

If that is how you think reward and loot systems should work then you are in for a massive shock dude, you have thousands of hours of disappointment ahead of you.
But this change is as good as it's going to get, if you're magika and you land a sharpened maul don't be disappointed, its awesome save it for another toon. it took me 7 months to get an inferno and that's trying at least 5 times a week with weekly leader board rewards, this change is awesome. you won't ever have the pain of getting Glorious defender helms at the end or crappy rings one after the other. this is as good as it's going to get. we should all be grateful.
To everyone saying it should be easy as a flick of a finger to get the precious weapon everyone is seeking.
I don't agree. It should be hard to get. But possible. Right now, it's almost impossible to get.
With the upcoming change it will now be more possible.
I still think PVP players are somewhat left behind and still have to put a lot of time and effort in a territory they don't enjoy much (PVE) to land the said weapon.
I wish there was a second way to land Maelstrom weapon for us, PVP players.
Something like being able to buy it with a very high amount of AP. (2+ millions?)
Or making it a random weapon that can be purchase for 500k AP.
But eh, I'm not complaining, It's a good thing vMA drops are buffed, I might actually go a do a few runs once the update rolls out.

Pvp players are normally better at vmsa?

Is that a statement or a question?
If, a statement, why would you say that?
Pvp players are normally geared (physically and mentally) towards fighting another Player.
PVE (Especially tough content like vMA) is a complete different thing.
Anybody can do vMA, with enough time and the right build. Anyone can learn the mechanics if they really want to.

Actually not true PVP players are better geared for VET MA than pure Endgame PVErs.Who mainly do trails and Vet dungeons. In PVP it'd all about self sustaining and Keeping your buffs up and not having to rely on other players. We know if you don't keep moving and keep that heal going you're die.For example solo players like @FENGRUSH first person to beat it on a stam sorc and @Sypher was some of the first players to beat it.Players who are Primarily PVP player were the first to beat it.
buff drop rate from 0.52% to 1.04% of desired weapon with trait
doesnt even look good enough

Might have your decimal off there bud. You'd said "0.52 to 1.04%". Thats 0.52 times out of 100 and 1.04 times out of 100.
....
I think you mean 52% and 104%. Unless you're cool with running it 100 times for 1 weapon lol

You're not interpreting his post correctly.
There are 12 different weapons, available in 8 different traits each, for a pool of 96. To get a specific weapon with a specific trait, you have just a 1/96 chance even with a 100% drop rate.
He is saying that, even with the drop rate buffed to 100%, the chance of getting a desired weapon is still only 1%, and that's not good enough.

HERO!!!!! I could actually kiss you.
Is there a downside to this? Like vma being buffed at all? Either way that's made my week....
Just curious, as someone's posted that the arena was ninja nerfed on PTS
I am wondering if the change to the minor slayer (affecting all mobs and bosses in trials/dungeons) is partly responsible for this seeming decrease in difficulty? A 5% increase in overall damage helps alot...
