I agree that these ideas need to be considered! As a console player, without MODs, navigating traders is expecially difficult. It's been a wreck trying to find specific purple motifs now that there's over 100 of them in one filter. I hope housing rectifies the problem, but that's a year away (2017). It's easy to get to the point where you have every motif, important recipe in the game, and armor. Anything you need you can farm yourself, making traders obsolete. We need more gold sink items like potions, food, etc. Unfortunately, if zos can't even address it's game breaking performance issues, how can we expect them to make positive changes like the in game economy?

Personally I wish guild stores gave you a search bar so you can type in what you are looking for instead of sifting through pages for it. PC has addons for that but it should be a standard UI feature.

Can we get some more people picking flowers please? I don't have time to buy 5 columbine at a time when I need 600.

I agree that the economy is very flat right now. I made about 1.5 million selling gold jewelry out of VSO, but that was very short lived, Most of that stuff is not selling for much anymore. These types of lucrative and short lived grinds are nice, but they dont solve anything permanently. Usually there are 1 or 2 good ones each patch.

I think the bigger issue, what the heck am I spending money on? Pretty much nothing. I occasionally will drop 20-30k on lower level mats to complete writs or buy mats for potion making. That's it. I dont buy gear, because most of the good stuff is bound or crafted.

You hit the nail on the head, this game needs gold sinks. The inflation is rampant (6K dreugh wax anyone?). A few things that would help:

    - Player Housing. Truthfully, I dont care much for housing, but I think it could act as a very necessary gold sink. I hope crowns are not the only option.

    - More Bag/Bank space at very high prices.

-Feed a horse 3 times a day, but at 10 times the cost. (something like that)

    - PVP Vendor. They swung and missed on this one. If they would have dropped the gold purchased items in Divines, they could have doubled the price and I would have bought 7 or 8 different sets I have been after. In infused, no thanks, already got a "good enough" piece. Not wasting my gold, I dont even check to see what they are selling anymore. That vendor has NOTHING I want.

    - Trait Change. I am very supportive of adding this into the game in one way or another. Have the PVP vendor charge 300k to change one item a week. I would spend all my gold by Christmas. Haha.

    - Unbound items. Same as above. Let a vendor unbind an item once a week for a huge amount of gold. This would both act as a gold sink and promote trading. Win/win. Personally, I would keep VMA weapons out of this, but that's just me.

    - Have more gold options for stuff in Cyro and IC. You are telling me the "war effort" couldn't use more gold? I dont really see how that hurts anything. Truthfully, I really dont like multiple currency systems.

Speaking as someone on Xbox, I rarely buy things in Guild Traders because they are so clunky and difficult to find what I want.

I get all my nirnhoned research items at the same kiosk because there are two people in that guild who make sure to keep at least one of everything listed for reasonable prices, and I can use the filters to minimizing my scrolling.

But hunting for crafting materials and motifs? Even using all the filters possible (craft/category/color) my options are either "no listing found" or "scroll through these six pages of useless stuff you don't want". Then after going through the full list, if you still didn't find it, you get to try the other four in the area. Then use a Wayshrine to travel to another location. Then reboot the game to recover from the crashing, and search those vendors. Oh, and read everything! You don't want to accidentally scroll past it!

It took me two hours one day to find Xivkyn helms. Well, technically an hour and a half to find one, but I was not paying 45k for a 3k motif, so I put in the extra half hour and finally lucked out.

This is why I don't bother with Guild Traders anymore. As frustrating as the drops are in this game, the guild traders are worse. There is no way to quickly see if they even have what I want! So I either farm it myself (materials), or do without (motifs).

If they added a damn search bar though it would help you console folks out a ton.
You don't want a global AH though, trust me on that. My wife plays on console and yes I have a toon there as well. I love the economy there so much better than PC because prices are literally all over the place. That might seem like chaos to some folks, but it means potential to others like myself. Console doesn't have access to master merchant so some players put things up for sale for that THEY FEEL is a right price rather than bouncing off what an addon suggests.

By the way, I did a test run two weeks ago when I was on vacation from work. I spent 90 minutes a day doing something, and the end of week profit was about 1.2 million. I am being vague intentionally as I don't want to give away my secret. You all know what happens when farm spots get revealed.

Anyhow my point is the income potential is there but comes with sacrifice (time). Some players enjoy hanging out in Cyrodiil or raids all day, and the ones who want to invest time being a gold farmer or merchant have that avenue as well. However, it does come with sacrifice as those 90 minutes were spent making gold instead of doing what I really enjoy...Cyrodiil.

This doesn't distract from the OP however, the game economy is a bit stale still.
