Random dungeon finder is broken

I've spent close to 3 hours waiting to find for a random dungeon, and it never happen.

Such a shame because doing dungeons is quite fun to me ;/

doesn´t matter, the finder is so broken, I was accidently in a 5-man- group (!!!) today; shortly before, we were in a 3-man group (ok, we knew THAT bug). I was tank and a friend was healer. Such a pity. The thing has been working well until recently. And now it´s at an all time low.

Of course it matters, it doesn't behave the same according to what I asked.

For example, since last patch every premade party I made got an instant match.

Also, saying "finder is broken" without giving any more detail isn't bug reporting or doing feedback, it's just whining and is useless.

No stop. It's *** broken.

There is no reason any tank + heal duo has to wait upwards of an hour for a queue to pop. Such has been the case for a great deal of people since DB. Prior to the DB update, the tool was working almost flawlessly, only real issue was getting put into groups larger than 4. This is not a one off situation, and has been covered in great deal on multiple threads with videos, screen shots and plenty of possible causes.

They *** something up under the hood, and the tool is effectively broken end of discussion.

There vague as hell hot fix patch notes easily shows they didn't really repair the problem, I knew it right when I read it.

PC is typically 2 patches ahead of console, so it helps to know which one you're talking about. Don't want to give ZOS the opportunity to think that you will be taken care of when the patch comes to console, if console is not what you are talking about.

The also vague PTS patch notes suggest, with some interpretation, that it may have some re-written code, which will either fix it, or introduce a whole bunch of new bugs.

Some troubleshooting info for ZOS follows:

I found that after the patch before last on PC, the Group Finder worked perfectly as far as wait time (for my healer who has not been able to get into a group since DB, waiting over 10 hours when you add up all the wait times before I ran out of time). But it did put me into "damaged" groups of all kinds of different descriptions of "damaged".

But by the 3rd evening, it was taking much longer, then, I could not get into a group again.

After this most recent patch, it has worked perfectly every time. But... after a few days it is taking a long time again.

This leads me to think that the longer the server is up, the worse it works, indicating some coding issues.

Group finder has not worked properly on PS4 NA since DB launch and my belief is that this has been and/or still is an issue across all platforms since DB release. Apart from the platform, the semantics about what role, how you queued (solo, duo), was your mouth open or closed at the time, etc., are all irrelevant.

I have tried grouping with my tank, healer and DPS, tried grouping several times with a friend as tank/dps and healer/dps combo and we only got into a dungeon once. Even on that one time, when a DPS left the group we could not get a replacement and 3 manned a dungeon. Last weeks patch did nothing to fix any of this - I queued for over 2 hours with my CP160 healer last week and did not get a group.

Bottom line is that the changes they applied to group finder in the DB patch probably broke it and they cannot find where it is broken. They implemented penalties for leaving a group, the vote to kick process, the 'are you ready' process,etc. I don't know if any of these changes actually work because most of us cannot get into a group to test them!

PC EU, 2 hours on group finder with my wife (dps and healer) and finally got into WGT... nope.

Something is definitely not right indeed.

I'm sorry for not being descriptive as it is clearly my fault. I'm a PC user and my main character is a mage DPS in the NA server. Lately the group finder for a random dungeon search has not been functioning well. It has worked for me in the past, but not lately. I know it takes time to find a compatible group... I don't mind the 10 mins wait, but an hour and two and often three hours is unacceptable. I can't believe that it takes that long for me to find people to do random dungeon with as so many people from the Grahtwood map in Elden Root has been hounding the zone to find people to do pledges with... including doing random.

If it helps I'm in the AD faction.

If I get no guildmates together for a dungeon ,I can forget about doing dungeons.
Since the finder rarely finds you a group within several hours

I mentioned this elsewhere,but i'd like it if players were able to link dungeons like items.
And when a players double click they join the group,if they hoover over the name they see what the group still needs;
healer,tank,damage.
In front of the dungeon link would be a normal or veteran badge:silver/gold too.
This would reduce all the "LFG" clutter in chat.

Another thing I dislike is that most people link their champion points.
and "cp300+",... like if its more about the points than about the players they team up with.
I believe next to role selection,there should be a volunteer option for players with many champion points that don't mind helping the lower players
Because real champions help out those in need
