If this means what I think it does, this is great news! Right from the start I thought it was kind of crazy that once you completed your main quest in your zone, travelling to the silver and gold zones did not allow you to see the players there, only those of your own faction, it made no sense really. If I can now see players of all alliances this is amazing! And even better as a leader of a multi faction guild! :)

I'm personally super happy about it. It was one of the things I was most frustrated with. The game largely doesn't have power creep as you level (with gear or skills; I mean you can get legendary stuff at level 1), so I never understood why there was any need to have level-bound content in the first place. I think levels are fine, as a way to slowly give skill points to your character, but I saw no reason to limit what you can do by level; not to mention, if you want to skip a zone, you really can't without dlc. And I suspect that they released the dlc's with scaling levels to test the reaction to it, and I guess it went well.

The only thing I don't love about this now is that there's still vertical/level-based progression with crafting. I don't think it really needs to exist given the fact that everything will scale... Just make 1 "level" of gear, and have the qualities/glyphs/trait be what makes them different. Might need to re-work the benefits of higher-tier crafting levels though then. And add a new variation for each type of material so that they are all relevant (only minor, but something). But then again, it could simply be as it is if they just want to make it so that you just need to invest into the profession in order to have this gear, to make the economy better and more rewarding for people who have invested. Just somewhat strange that a level-scaled lvl 10 player could potentially have better stats than a lvl 50+ based on their personal crafting abilities. If they did the change for the crafting/gear to all be the same power level though, which of course tons would hate, then they could make up another use for the crafting mats; for example, regional crafting writs as opposed to based on your crafting skill, and they use the materials from those regions; also, a big demand of crafting mats could be used for furniture/upgrades in housing, if they ever add that.

I think the argument that not having a purpose for leveling/doing anything anymore after this is somewhat strange. Maybe this is because I'm not yet capped, but isn't the purpose of the levels and much of the content to give skill (or champion) points, and of course for experiencing story? Skill/champion points will still have use. They may actually have a bit of an issue with a large influx of them for players playing everything, but oh well. But the new goals can be to add new uses for skill points, as the latest dlc's have done. Make new cool mechanics with new skill lines, and just make that the new goals you have for skill points.

This is absolute ***. What is even the purpose of leveling now? If people wanted to pkay with their low level friends, let them make alts, or give them the option to scale DOWN. *** it Zenimax, this is the reason I left TERA, the company running the game clearly has no idea what they're doing, and you're going the same way.

And, no alliance restriction? Are you for real? If people were complaining about being unable to play with their other alliance friends, tell them a) make a character in a differente alliance b)buy an alliance change voucher (Introduce this already!) c) Give them the option to be scaled down and going to the regular alliance territory instead of the instanced Cadwell version.

STOP "FIXING" WHAT ISN'T BROKEN DAMN IT!

I'm just glad I'll be done with Cadwell's Gold before this comes. (I hope)

Oh, and you seem to have plenty of spare time when it comes to doing stupid things. How about you use that time to give us the Breton Hero costume? >.>

Cyrodiil remains the same . Faction only counts in Cyrodiil . So after the battles every can cozy next to the fire place an drink a Ale together an call each other names .

For some. Some won't even notice. Like me fore example. That is why I am mostly disappointed with it. Another system update. Only one that won't affect me. Woo. I guess.

I would honestly have been happier if they announced they were fixing the group finder.

I'll have to see how people will behave when playing with members of opposing factions on open world before saying if I approve of this change. I approve the level scaling, though. Not so sure about dropping faction restrictions.

Durza gra-Maghul, Orc blacksmith: The thing was done perfectly, in the most efficient way.
Tegwen, Bosmer troublemaker: You can't prove I didn't do the thing.
Sings-Many-Songs, Argonian fisher: Sure, I'll do the thing... Eventually. Maybe.
Aerindel, Altmer stormcaller: After extensive research, I've come to the conclusion that doing the thing would be a waste of resources.
Liliel, Dunmer pyromancer: Aerindel said I shouldn't do the thing. Something about "resources".
Gyda Snowcaller, Nord cryomancer: I will find a way to do it that won't waste resources and make Aerindel proud of me.
Beatrice Leoriane, Breton vampire: I persuaded someone else into doing the thing. You are welcome, dear.
Sahima, Redguard performer: Doing the thing sounds awfully unpleasant and really not my problem.
Ellaria Valerius, Imperial priestess: I'll pray to the Eight for the thing to be done, if it is Their will.

To be as blunt as possible... SWEET.

It always bothered me that, once I finally got to explore the zones of the other two alliances, none of the people *FROM* those alliances were there. Ya, sure, conceptually I "bought" the idea that Cadwell created a whole new dimension in which I could "pretend" I was from those other alliances, and thus, they didn't need to adapt any story lines. Really, nobody expected ZOS to update hundreds and hundreds of quests and story lines for cross-alliance continuity. From an immersion standpoint, this is a step in the right direction. What good is it to travel to Dagerfall, Ebonheart, or Aldmeri territory if you're not interacting with the people from those territories?

And let's face it: from an implementation standpoint, it was *always* silly to host three separate instances of every zone. Why take on that overhead just to segregate players like that?

We should all be considering the benefits and potential advantages of merging the zone instances:
    1. No more abandoned zones.
    2. More people to group with.
    3. More content choices -- go wherever, whenever, with whoever.
    4. Cross-alliance guilds already exist, but now can be utilized.
    5. Cross-alliance TRIALS.
    6. Dueling and PvP Arenas are not just more feasible, they're practically inevitable.

This will also reduce ZOS's hardware overhead, freeing up resources to process more interesting content and features down the line, such as the long-awaited player housing, guild halls, and (dare we hope) Spell Crafting. Who knows? Maybe they'll rededicate 25% of the servers they're not using anymore to take the lag out of Cyrodiil (not that it would be easy). This could even nudge the legal department and development teams to explore the possibility of merging the instances of the PC and console versions. The North American mega-server could become the North American ULTRA-server. The biggest obstacles to cross-platform instance merging that I can foresee: Sony & Microsoft not wanting to play nice (quite likely), and the implementation of VOIP for the PC/Mac. Come on, guys! Why can't we be friends?

My evaluation, "Tamriel One" is a far superior concept to what we've had so far ("Tamriel Three") and a step in the right direction for even better stuff in the future. I've been very critical of some objectively bad development decisions ZOS has made in the past, but I'm very happy about this one. Bravo!

Also, seems like I won't be able to hold on to my "Spinner's Story" theory regarding Cadwell's Gold and Silver anymore :disappointed:

With it just being regular questing and all. At least I don't have to do it with any of my characters anymore. Kinda peeved for my old characters though, who helped the enemy alliances when it wasn't just "regular questing" but actually some sort of magic. Also, I really liked my "Spinner's Story" theory :c

I am confused as to what the point will be in leveling up if everything everywhere is scaled? I don't think there is enough information regarding this, also I may be reading it wrong, but it seems like there will be zero motive to level up or create new characters (unless you RP). Also, while I get dungeons, trials, etc... for having a wider range of grouping options, I am confused why people need better grouping options for the rest of the zones regular Pve (minus Craglorn, of course)?

Well, what they are doing I think, is removing the vet area zones from the game, this would help server preformace I do hope they add a thing that unistalls those zones from your game. Because I am sure the data for them is still in the 80 something gbs. But yes this would be a good thing overall I think.

It gets even better when you consider that right now low levels scale with better stats then max characters. So there may actually be a reason to not level. So leveling will become doubly confusing!

Sounds like a bad idea to me to be honest. People at the end game aren't getting anything from this, so I'm not really pleased at all. They need to get the other Trials up to scale and get the rest of the veteran instances done as well. I really hope this is part of their One Tamriel plan.

Absolutely agree - most of my time spent in game is questing on multiple characters, and afaic it doesn't need this change as a priority. It's nice to have a more open-world feel, sure. But I think allowing people to travel to any zone after level 50 and removal of vet ranks did that already to an extent. I would rather see every dungeon given a veteran version, and trials and Craglorn scaled as a higher priority.
