    I'm not keen on this.

All I can see is more lag, more spamming in cramped cities, more crashing, more zone wars, more trolling, more grinders fighting over the same spots, more questers fighting over the same quest items.

It's gonna be bad. It's bad enough now with 1 alliance, I cannot imagine all 3 sharing the same instance. There'll be no escaping to 'vet' zones anymore to escape the lag, it'll be everywhere.

That's my worry too. I can see my characters taking refuge in places like Aldcroft and Crosswych, I already face enough lag and low framerate in cities in my own alliance and this will just spread that across the same cities in Silver and Gold zones, which are currently less busy.

I'm personally super happy about it. It was one of the things I was most frustrated with. The game largely doesn't have power creep as you level (with gear or skills; I mean you can get legendary stuff at level 1), so I never understood why there was any need to have level-bound content in the first place

Because everything is hilariously easy already and makes the game a big bore except for certain things like trials, and that content has had one addition, a few nerfs and one change since it's existed.

In my opinion they need to make things harder.

Some of the delves in Craglorn were amazing, now they're trash :(

I think the Battle Leveling all of Tamriel idea is dumb. I have however been begging for an open world more Everquest like letting us play with anyone in the PvE world. If they're doing this i sure hope they give us a Open world PvP server as well. I would even be happy with "Alliance Factions" having some sort of EQ/WoW type of deal where you have to complete missions in order to go into other alliance towns in order to get them to "like" you.

New or returning players will love it. Old players will complain that there is nothing for them. Both group will be right.

I'm not against it - but at some point they need to stop focusing on trying to win back the people who played for 3 days during beta or 2 weeks at launch and didn't like it, and concentrate on pleasing their solid continuous fanbase with stuff that we have asked for and want - which includes (from various different types of players) veteran versions of all dungeons, new group dungeons, new trials, token system rather than RNG for high level dungeon content rewards, old trials scaled, old gear scaled so it can drop at max, dueling/group arena battles in some form or another, combat dummies, player housing, costume dyes, more quest content, more QoL RP stuff...

It's that sort of thing that will bring players back in, and that sort of thing that will make existing players tell their friends "this is a great game, come and play it with me", don't underestimate the power of word of mouth.

So exactly this. If I saw a post from them including all of the above or even half of it and the rest for later, I would like explode from happy.

I am a bit worried but if it is done right it might be a good ting.
I hope we wont have 2K hp in Gelnumbra and 20K hp in wrothgar like we have now. That system is so confusing.
This kind of makes leveling pointless and for those with a lot of cp, the game will become very easy. And since every player scales according to the area, they could drop the character lvl out of the game and make gears & weapons useable with lvl "x" armor/weapon skill.

I'm happy to see this. ESO has long suffered from grouping difficulties in basic questing as well as insufficient content purely as a result of their ridiculous sweet spot content level vs player level system which prevents players from doing or getting xp and loot from content not almost exactly their level. This will give a lot of players a lot more to do as well as encourage players to do things with friends as it will no longer be a huge pain in the ass to do so. Hopefully they will also allow sharing of quests even with those who have completed before. Given the almost worthless rewards of quests I really don't think that could be abused and it would allow people to better follow along with friends they have introduced to game.

It really should not have taken more than two years to get here but it is nice to see it anyhow. It may even bring back craiglorn. I really liked the quests and delves in that zone. Those repeatable daily quests were never worth crap reward wise but the warrior school one was very good and so was the lost city one. Pity few ever have seen them.

I should add that a trial campaign with alliance switching allowed every say 10 min might be an interesting experiment. In the quest for greater AP / Hour gains I expect some interesting things would happen in there. I also expect that things would get ballanced as the ideal AP situation for quality PVP raids is to be the one skilled raid against a sea of noobs but being that attracts noobs who are sick of being wiped by you. Allowing switching would dynamically balance things as the noobs chase the hardcores. Worth a trial campaign anyway.

I am currently worried for the future of ESO. Population seems like it is in free fall and the cancellation of the North America in-person gathering feels very much like pulling the plug. Kudos on fixing the in-game economy though. Clearly whatever gold shenanigans were happening the last couple years are fixed.

Does this mean that the whole game will be able to see other alliances in pve areas? ie. as AD i will be able to see EH and DC when i go to their zones and play with them?

Yes , Matts follow up says faction will no longer matter in PvE . AD DC EP will all be in the same zones for PvE .

Mostly I am excited and this will be an interesting change.

I am a little confused how the story line will work for other factions. I mean as an EP character and I walk at the start right to Daggerfall zones how will it be explained that I am saving them and fighting the Pact without the Cadwell twist.

So they are bring the "battle-leveling" scaling zones pretty much like what swtor did with some differences..
That also means no longer silver and gold cadwell ? “Silver" and “gold" versions of zones will be replaced by Cadwell quest storylines that you can do in any order you wish.

    Completely pointless.

Surely even questers won't like it as the story won't even make sense unless you do it in order?

Go do a quest in shadowefen and kill ad, then to help the dominion in auridon... Makes perfect sense...

one issue that comes in mind is resources.....all zones except DLCs now have fixed type resources. With one tamriel i suppose they will be 50% off your current specced skill and 50% off ur lvl... That means that if you have not invested in a craft skill, you will encounter either very low or very high type of resources. Great gap, and the middle level type resources --- gone only available to those leveling. Leveling characters will have to craft their own gear now if they want to, rather than buy mats, since they will be harder to find on the market.

wait.....does that mean bye bye crafting writs... if someone is specced max in a tradeskill? The resource nodes cant have the voidsteel-voidcloth etc chance required for crafting writs....

Heh. Rename your product and sell it again Part 2. I wonder which marketing genius came up with such a creative idea.

Well, from what I've seen there is a lot of players in the starting zones and "main zones". All these players not being phased anymore can only tank the performance I imagine. Looking forward to that.

See... This is an Elder Scrolls game. MMO, but still TES, in Skyrim I could go ANYWHERE, do ANYTHING with ANYONE and it wasn't like "O hi lvl5 Lydia, too bad I can't take you with me cause a fox sneezing nearby will anihilate your whole existence"

Playing since early access I was always pissed off by this blatant drawn on a map LINE that I need to follow in order to find appropriate level enemies and adventures.

I loved doing quests in Wrothgar. You really DON'T have there any stoopid line, you just go where you want and talk to anyone you want.

In Skyrim? With one character I immediately started playing in Solitude cause she was an Imperial that hated undead and Meridia blessed her with her sacred sword. My khajiit Illusion Assassin was stealing all the thingz... You get the point.

Here everyone is THE SAME. Since I want to play with my Derpminion friends every character is forced to helping Queen Ayrenn with running barefoot across the woods. I can't have my Dunmer Pyromage in Ebonfart cause my BF and other friends could need me in a dungeon (now this statement is outdated but she's stiil in AD).

My first impression of this, as someone with 12 characters whose main occupation is questing and travelling the land: "Yay, no more grey quests and grey mobs who offer no loot". And I'll finally feel compelled to go back and complete the dolmen achievements with my max level "achievement hunter" character.

Second thought... no more peacefull and quiet Cadwell Gold zones, there will be other players everywhere. Still not a bad trade-off, let's see how it goes.

Journey to the endgame and then game turns into open world game was much better idea.

Im kind of disappointed this game only has 7 mill players, Destiny rocks at 30+ mill, but I suppose theres lots of players still to come, well there must be.

Please add FOG to the game too, just like Skyrim has. That gives ESO nice unique twist and makes exploration much more exciting.

Was kinda hoping that they would announce more for ESO.

Then to One Tamriel, it is great that the faction limitations are going away so it will be easier to play with friends who are in different factions and so on. About the battle leveling I see it is kinda must to make this all happen but also takes away from the character creation that roleplaying games usually have and makes this more of adventure game. As you are always "leveled" to the content not like I cannot handle this now, let me come back after couple levels.

In a way this doesn't effect me that much as I have the max level chars already and of course it will be fun to help friends if they decide to come to play also.

Cant believe anyone is happy about this...

Why you people dont see it? This is only for NEW players.. again people, listen, its for:

NEW PLAYERS, NEW PLAYERS, NEW PLAYERS

Why the hell should any1 with 2-3 max level cahracters care about leveling ? Nothin will change, ecept the fact that u can start in every faction no matter what faction u did choose... woah... AWESOME lol

I really like story and leveling in MMOS, but heres the thing: ONCE, now its just a torture to leveln an alt and this wont change anything. I'm so *** disappointed and most of u guys even say that its great, I cant belive it.

Story - same, quests - same, every other things - same, why the *** are u hyped for this, most of us have already seen everything in ESO with their first character.

I wanted them to alk about ENDGAME stuff- this is actual for "OLD" players who have supported that game from start:

      1. Arenas
      2. Battlegrounds
      3. Raids
      4. New Dungeons
      5. Housing
      6. etc

etc. plz stop hyping that crap ***

I feel it kind of takes away from the feeling of progression in the game but that's just my thoughts. Can't really make an accurate call until we have more information.

You'll still have all the progression essentially all this does is Open up the entire map, so instead of doing the same BS 3x in a row, you only have to do it once for each faction, Or even once on a single Character.

It also allows you to go anywhere, with no borders, no restrictions. (Think Skyrim).

      Think TRUE Open world environment.
