Yeah, I see what your saying.
It's like, when your class is the best and can take ridiculous amounts of damage while doing ridiculous amounts of damage without sacrificing range and just camp in your mines and watch people just kill themselves trying to attack you and have all that taken away it kinda does show true skill dosnt it?
L2p issue not my problem
You overestimate sorcs. Before DB launch I could two shot most sorcs on my pre vet alt, when they were VR16. What was that class? Oh yeah, Stamina Nightblade, the I-Win button.
A sorc without it's shield has no real survivablity, No armor//spell resistance buff without a useless toggle skill, no capacity for reflecting damage like the DK, no ability to run like the NB, no spamming jabs and winning like Templar, you're just dead. We have spells to control the field, and shields to absorb damage, because if you get close for so much as 5 seconds and their shield isn't up at any point in time during those 5 seconds, the Sorc is dead.
DKs are the tankiest class and have the highest capacity for raw damage. We can't compete with that level of survivability nor damage.
Nightblades are bursty and ganky as can be, oh and they choose whether or not to engage depending on whether or not it suits them (something other classes lack) while having some pretty impressive self healing capacity both at a range and up close.
Templars - don't you go in their house, oh and you're at a distance? Get ready for that dark flare jav//dark flare charge//dark flare jesus beam, they two shot people all day!
So tell me, what do sorcs really have? I have played every class, Sorcs feel the most skill based. Playing a Nightblade didn't even feel fair to me, too easy! Templars? Gets boring how easy it is. DKs? Well, I have fun with them at least, feels pretty good to me, that's why I have three of them. A smart sorc who knows how to use the terrain to their advantage and knows how to use their spells to control the field can take down armies, and a sorc lacking skill will rush into the enemy mid field and just get wrecked. At least that was the way of things, now you need to be on top of your game just to compete.
Don't even get me started on PvE... PvE they are the bottom tier DPS, hands down. They suck as tanks, lacking the damage mitigation of other classes. Healers? If your dang pet don't die and even then it's taking up two slots instead of one.
So many people just refused to L2P and kept complaining about sorcs, and now we're nerfed into oblivion.
Pretty much lol. Only skilled players on Magicka Sorcs will stand a chance anymore. Even then, I can see Sorcs being taken down by CCing them 5 seconds after the Hardened Ward runs out. When I use my other characters, I'll feel sort of bad killing Magicka Sorcs who cannot stand a chance against me due to QQ NERFS.
And bad Mag Sorcs? They can no longer even play their class in any somewhat efficient/surviable manner now. The class needs lots of changes and faces an identity crisis as well. Stam Sorcs are probably stronger than Mag Sorcs now due to them reaching out of their class skills for lots of powerful tools.

I'm working on a sorc pet build right now as it seems to be the best chance I have, I know how to play pet builds effectively, they give me somewhat of a buffer//create confusion allowing me some survivability. I can't have any wards on this build (except healing ward, because healing ward, it's a solid heal). I'm thinking changing the armor to 5/5 Julianos heavy with defensive traits such as impen and the sort with the Daedroth monster set, focusing on CC and field control. It won't be effective in large scale PvP but against limited numbers, it could do some damage I think. Just a theory right now I'm working with, going to have to test it.
