Pretty much. There could be many other reasons, but to take down the servers the very day you did an update means that something went wonky or something wonky was discovered. It might not have anything to do with lack of testings. I worked as a software and system tester for several years and you would be surprised the amount of strange things that do actually happen. Among them, the ones that seemed the most headache inducing were little bits of information other people in other departments forgot to mention often because they really weren't sure if it was important or 'worth the trouble' until it brings everything to a grinding halt.

I wonder - rather than providing a 'fix' to the problem - are they perchance downloading the whole patch again? Surely a simple fix does not actually take this long.

While we appreciate the updates, such as they are, would somoeone mind telling us
a) what the item mentioned actually was
and
b) why it is taking so long.

Cheers for a wondeful game even despite this irritant.

it takes so long because you have to find the needle in the hay stack.
It is not like you can just tear down a building and build a new one on top of the old and bugged building. It takes some time.

Yes it shows the current appearance of a character now, along with the pet to the left and mount to the right.
Logout with skele morph and it will reflect that, if anyone doesn't like it my tip (from pts) is de-morph prior to logout

I too have heard stories of the "Day Star". I once looked directly upon it and it yelled at my eyes. That was the last time I went into the big blue room. My family tells me I need to spend more time in the big blue room and less time playing ESO. While the graphics are better the game play is too slow and you don't get any decent potions until level 21.

I think its been mentioned before in this thread, not EVERYTHING can be tested on the PTS and the PTS is WAY DIFFERENT then the LIVE server. Thats life even i wanna get in and play the DLC but theres something called being patient, wont kill no one if they dont play for awhile.

zos pisses me off because i really enjoy the game, but how its managed gets me to brink of quitting on a monthly basis.
all mmo have some issues here and there but not testing patches so that a bug that requires an immediately shut down and maintenance is necessary is just bad business.
