4,000 Crowns for new Senche Mount Too Much?

Sure 4000 crowns is way too much. But, there is no sense complaining about it ZOS is not going to listen. Just don't buy it and problem solved.

I don't care to much. Unless it is a limited time offer and I won't make it before my next batch of crowns from subbing come in.

I'd imagine prices will keep going up as people sub and find themselves sitting on larger and larger piles of crowns.

I sub and have the crowns, but even though I have all the other senche mounts, I can't justify droping 4K on it.

That's $100, that is just sad if you would spend that on a game.
    I wouldn't say that.

Gaming is a hobby that people spend money on just like people spend money on other hobbies.

Little League baseball? $100 USD is a drop in the bucket compared to the costs you'd spend on putting your kid through Little League.
RC Cars? $100 won't even buy you half the parts for a single car.

And I can name other hobbies that people see no issue when someone sinks (literally) thousands of dollars into said hobbies.

But video games? Spend some money on video games when that is your hobby of choice, and people think it's "sad".

As I said, I'm not buying this particular mount. I personally can't justify spending more on a vanity mount than I spend on a DLC, but I have already sunk hundreds of dollars into this game, and I don't regret it one bit.

That's not "sad", that's me supporting my Hobby, and a game that I love in that hobby.

i have been waiting for so long for this mount, and I joked on another thread about people not wanting to know how many crowns I would pay for this. Now that I see its 4000 crowns, i'm inserting my foot into my mouth and i'm feeling that's a little steep.

I will still get it, because I'm a massive consumer wh*re and its just too pretty to pass on, but it will be the last of the vanity stuff I buy just because of the principle.

It is very pretty. They clearly devoted some time into the detail. The animation when it spawns is beautiful. There's something wonky with the fur. It looks blurry.

Still, my thought is that it would be nice if the other (already existing mounts) had this quality as well. We already know how let down people were by the lion, which was literally a reskin of the lioness with a mane. The bears were exactly the same with just different fur colors. I wonder if they could go back and rework the code on mounts. Yea right though.

$100 to some people is like $1 to others. I don't care what anyone else spends on something. I just look at each purchase and see if it is worth it to me. If I see a celebrity with $200 million spends $1 million on their kid's graduation party, I don't care. It's up to everyone to judge just for themselves if something is affordable and worthwhile.

@Pandorii You do realize they only had to work on the additional effects on this mount right? This is the black panther senche with added effects.

That's true. I think that's why people are thinking about the cost relatively. It's the same price as a DLC (that takes hours and hours to develop).

Yeah, I can see using DLC as a price yardstick. My friends and I used to hang out every Friday at Carlos Murphys and were known as "the rum and coke guys" to the staff. A Captain and Coke was $5, so we used to measure other purchases as the number of Captain and Cokes it was. That new car? 5,000 Captain and Cokes....

I'm standing in Mournhold watching the show offs pass by with their new shiny black senche. I looked at the crown store and was shocked to see that unlike any previous limited edition mount, this one cost 4,000. It kinda sparkles when it walks. Worth it?

I think I might have boughten it if it cost 2,500 like previous limited edition mounts. Would you pay 4,000 for a flying mount?

P.S. Congrats to all the proud owners of a $40 vanity item. =D

I think they are overpriced however I purchased one mainly due to I sub and haven't wanted to spend crowns on anything else so the crowns were piling up.

Must say your post feels a little green with envy is there a need to call people show offs?

It's a nice mount but if it doesn't poop motifs then it's not worth 4k

Does it poop motifs? Has anyone checked? ;P

There was no care guide not even sure what it eats, it sure is gassy though whenever it runs it leaves a blue mist trail behind it that's got to be worth something surely? Probably but not 4k.

Youre not "supporting it". Its not a child support payment. Youre buying a product, exchanging money for a product. All youre doing is artificially inflating the price of items. When companies see this they know they can slap whatever price they want on an item and some one lying to themselves about why theyre spending their expendable finances will eat it up. While the rest of the population either have to spend more to obtain things that would of otherwise been cheaper or go without. Youre known as a Whale. And its not a good thing to be known as. Youre the cause of prices being hiked far higher than what would normally be considered acceptable. But companies cant help themselves when they see someone willing to part with large sums of money in one go.

To be honest in game items being sold for silly money is nothing new, back in the day before games made rules about it us players used to sell rare in game items on Ebay for 1000s in real world money, in Entropia Universe some guy just paid $6 million in real money to purchase a planet, planet calypso in fact.

So 4k crowns for a mount is pretty reasonable in comparison.

As expected, instead of improving their quality and offering an established tier system of crown store offerings, they just slap 1k crowns extra on the next product.

It works, of course, but I'm not waiting for 10k costumes any time soon.

How is the cost for this mount to much? The only means to define the cost as being to high is the long does not sell well. This has nothing to do with it being beyond what a specific individual would choose to pay.

Called the wife, let her know that a mount I wanted was going to be on the Crown Store and that I wanted to buy it. She asked me how much and I said 30 dollars to be safe(I have a some crowns still left over from ESO+).I got the go ahead and did not draw any wife aggro. :)

Then I seen it's going for 4K. :( ZOS, you had my money.........but not now, this is absolutely a ridiculous price.

I will not be buying this mount, and I would suggest that everyone do the same. In fact when i get home, since ZOS is asking for pictures on our new mounts, I say everyone post pictures of the mount you will be riding because this one is to expensive.
