Omg you have no idea how I've been waiting for this CU beta to come out. About freaking time. Finally the forums will get a lil bit more optimistic, realistic and grateful for the efforts made by the development team patch after patch. Will be much easier for ZOS to focus on relevant threads (such as the one you made reporting bugs with videos) rather than the million of negative threads like this one complaining but not helping at all.
The people leaving are the people who loved this game enough to stick it out through two years of nonsense and nearly unplayable lag. Them leaving is not s good thing.
Everyone was leavinbg for black desert online too remember? They all came back within a month. Same with CU. If they arent happy here I would be they wont be happy there either. Nothing is perfect. You have people who float from game to game like this and thats ok. You cant base your game on these guys tho.
Doubt.
Most people I know who started BDO stayed in BDO.
CU won't be any different.
You know why many people aren't happy in eso? Because zos doesn't seem to care and the game is in a crappy state since.. Ever.

No more need to doubt.
Who gives a rats *** about how many units were sold, we all bought the game. The problem is the longevity.
Well if you had read it I stated it sold 100,000 copies last month across all platforms. He said he doubted that. So I provided proof. Also you been here longer than I have. Thats some serious longevity there.
Actually frozn has a point...we could be back in the meteor spam meta that was early 1.6 and no skills working lag...i'd say that we still are in the meteor spam meta but the ping compared to the two is better....overall I'd say pvp latency has improved but not in the sense that it's good...lag is rarely an issue, it's more so what combat is like these days with all the snares and the roll of counter siege in this patch...i think that's what people are mostly upset about cause anyone who played in the extinction of dinosaurs patch knows what a contested keep fight felt like with all the meteors being rained down
Also @Ghost-Shot @Satiar which realm are you guys looking at in CU?

PVP is going to take time to work out. Contrary to people here the lag has gotten better. 300-400ms latency to me is still unplayable. So if people are expecting a quick fix then thats going to be disappointing for them. I play with a lot of people out in cyrodill I never see 999+ latency. Personally I think its just a display error. If your latency really was that high then you would see nothing on the screen. Everything would just freeze and the game would log you out thinking you were disconnected.

No, BDO is a pay to win grinder. Niche market. That it drew so many away is not good either.
I guess I can just speak for me and mine, but we loved this game. Our guild lead waited years to play this game. We're not game hoppers, we wanted to make this game our home. But the fact remains that TWO YEARS have gone by and PvP playability has only gotten WORSE and it's gotten worse while hosting 1/10 the players it used to.
If I had the slightest hope they cared about PvP or had the ability/will to fix it id stay. But they haven't even shown us a glimmer.

Dude. When my entire raid has 999 ping for vast portions of almost every single night we play it's not our issue. When the guys I have with $3k+ rigs and $200 internet can't play it's not our issue.
When the ENTIRE PvP population is complaining about unplayable lag regardless of rig, connection or location it is NOT OUR ISSUE.
The entire population isnt complaining. Heck even the entire forum population isnt complaining. Hyperbole isnt helping your argument.

I pvp'ed in Haderus (not the most popular server) from 2pm - 2am (with breaks) yesterday, and had a total of 10 crashes. About four of those crashes I wasn't even in combat. "Working as intended." The lag is bad enough, but when you throw in crashes...it's no wonder ZOS is doing every PR trick up its sleeve. Keep pushing for new players and forgetting about us hardcore. Surely, that'll keep you going for your "7 year plan".

1. Everything does freeze, people skip around on your screen and abilities don't fire, we all know what lag is so please don't act like you are going to enlighten all of us on how it works or what it is.
2. They have had 2 years to work out pvp and have consistently made performance worse with every update. I'll give them credit, 2.1 improved the lag over the *** show that was 1.6/2.0 but it has since gone downhill again. 2 years to resolve a problem and make a product you have already sold is never acceptable in any professional environment. The fact is they sold a product and failed to deliver what they sold for 2 years.
For the game not working you certainly have a lot of high ranking characters with a lot of PVP accomplishments... Just sayin.
I actually agree with you, even though you don't seem to have played this game when the ping would actually spike up to 1k-10k ms back in 1.6 meteor spam lag on flags. Since TG got released, my ping rarely goes above 700ms. It usually spikes that much when AD and DC are fighting each other between Roe and Ash. Otherwise, my latency got much better. Especially with 40+ players on the screen.. I still remember lagging up to 600ms with no battle happening, just having too many players in the same area. Thanks to the removal of several LoS checks and the optimisation of several large range buffs / abilities that were affecting tons of players creating load of useless calculations on the server.
@ZOS_BrianWheeler said it was a work in progress and only the beginning. I'm confident the latency will get only better in the weeks / months ahead.
Why?
Last night there were NO ball groups running just spread groups of people going back and forth between bleaks and Chal. Solid 700+ long.
Same old story.
Why is is suddenly going to improve?

Please, tell me your secrets of how you don't ever lag in TF or Haderus NA PC, and tell me how the vast majority of players can complain of lag, but the lag isn't real. Do all of our ISPs just hate ZoS, but not any other program? Really?

Wanna bet? I have had 999+ pings (and 2 fps) since I started PVP in July of 2015. For me, things improved a little bit when I switched to the 64 bit client. But ymmv.

Maybe try the rest of the game? This is an ongoing thing. If you thought this was some kind of single player game you were mistaken. If you go to all other games latency is always an issue in PVP. There is more to the game than PVP tho.

I'm probably not going to play in the first iteration of beta as, from what i read, they're mostly wanting to test the mechanical aspects of the game and not anything to do with the game itself (unless i can't read which is probably likely) but i will say that we (or rather i) would like to be allies this time around and not frienemies.

I have done everything there is to do end game wise. Except for the new trial which I'm working on.
I have done cadwells silver 3 times and cadwells gold twice, as well as more or less any sidequest the game has to offer.
What should I do if I can't pvp because it's so broken?
Go flower picking? Or any other PvE activity that bores me to death?
No, we shouldn't be forced to play any part of the game we don't want to just because ZOS is not capable of fixing their crap.
And no, my connection is incredibly good (and secured and whatever else) and my computer is a top high end gaming pc. Can't blame it on either. Still get massive frame drops (with a unusual low FPS to begin with compared to any other game) and quite the red numbers on the ping-o-meter (during primetime).
I swear you're either completely delusional or the biggest troll this forum has ever seen.

Also @Ghost-Shot @Satiar which realm are you guys looking at in CU?
@GRxKnight
We aren't totally decided yet, we plan to play all 3 during beta to test out all the classes but whatever we roll at launch is really going to come down to realm pops. We've played the most populated faction twice now in this game and even rerolled over it once, that *** is not fun lol.
I'm probably not going to play in the first iteration of beta as, from what i read, they're mostly wanting to test the mechanical aspects of the game and not anything to do with the game itself (unless i can't read which is probably likely) but i will say that we (or rather i) would like to be allies this time around and not frienemies.

1.5-2 years long enough?
Just curious what your time scale is
and it does log us out.
source: personally been kicked out to the log in screen while PVPing
credentials: been PVPing since launch
Maybe try the rest of the game? This is an ongoing thing. If you thought this was some kind of single player game you were mistaken. If you go to all other games latency is always an issue in PVP. There is more to the game than PVP tho.

Not the solution bro....we want this game to do well...we really do...i don't think we would be here complaining that the game is broken or not functioning as advertised if we didn't care. I have in fact been playing another game on the side when i don't feel like playing this game, but that shouldn't be what i have to do. I really do like this game as I'm a huge fan of elder scrolls games...i enjoyed the story but my main focus is, and has been, pvp...going to play another game isn't what will fix this one...though it's apparently too little too late at this point as a lot of us are going to CU whenever beta is launched so there ya go...you can go back to white knighting zos while the rest of us aren't putting up with it anymore

If you are burned out follow the advice I gave the other guy. Take a break.

How is that gonna fix the issue with fps drops and lag and latency and bugs and whatever else is pestering cyrodiil?
It's like I'm talking to a wall.
